✨ NEW YEAR. STRONGER YOU. ✨

Happy New Year! 🥂

Here’s the truth: almost 80% of people fall off their New Year goals by February - not because they lack motivation, but because they’re missing a plan and accountability.

That’s where I come in. 💪
I’ll be your accountability partner as we set clear, realistic goals based on your initial evaluation, then use ongoing testing and follow-ups to keep us locked in and progressing all year.

I want to help you get to where I know you’re capable of getting - and then set new goals for 2026 because we absolutely crushed the first ones.

Let’s make this the year you follow through.
Let’s work. 🚀

After class, it can be easy to stay in that “holding” pattern - glutes clenched, pelvic floor tight, and core still braced.

If you find you have a hard time letting go of that tension post class let yourself relax into these movements to help melt that away🌬️

Hit the save button to jump into these after your next class or anytime you’re feeling the need to relax and reset🧘‍♀️

If letting these areas relax has been more chronically difficult for you and you’ve been dealing with low back pain, hip pain or pelvic pain then send me a DM💌 or book a discovery call in my bio. We can chat more about what to do if this sounds like you✨

✨Introducing Dr. Robyn Waugh PT, DPT✨

Hi, I’m Robyn - orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapist, owner of Robyn Waugh Physical Therapy in Portland, ME. I started this practice to create a space where people feel supported, understood and empowered in their health. I have been practicing PT for 6 years now, graduating from the University of New England in 2019. I have a huge passion for caring for others and helping them get back to doing what they love💫

A little bit about me outside the clinic: I love hiking and exploring Maine and New England, running with friends and to better myself, fall golf🍁, traveling and eating my way through new places, and supporting my fiancé from the sidelines of his rugby games🏉

We recently added a little addition to our family named Poppy🐶 (if you have any tips on surviving the puppy months/years please let me know😂).

I’m so glad you’re here - thank you for following along and supporting my new business! I can’t wait to share more as RWPT continues to grow🫶🏼

✨The pelvic floor doesn’t work alone✨

It needs the support of your legs, hips and core to reduce stress and improve overall stability 💪🏼

Here’s why I chose these four movements to highlight:

1. Weighted single leg march hold - this works on static balance under load to improve your core and hip stability.

2. Standing fire hydrant - the focus here is maintaining core and hip stability with dynamic balance.

3. Single leg calf raises - your calves absorb 6-8x your body weight while running and 2-3x during walking, if there’s weakness here this can increase stress up the chain to your knees, hips, pelvic floor and low back as well as down into your foot.

4. Bulgarian split squats - this movement is great for building both stability through your pelvis and core as well as strength in your legs.

These 4 movements are a great start to supporting the pelvic floor. Want a plan that’s tailored to your body? That’s where PT comes in, let’s work together to create a program just for you💫
