On this Veterans Day, we pause with deep respect and gratitude to honor all who have served and continue to serve our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and resilience inspire us every day.
Dual Diagnosis Anonymous (DDA) was founded by a highly decorated veteran, Corbett Monica, whose journey after the Vietnam War mirrored the struggles faced by many returning heroes—anguish, trauma, and remorse. Battling severe PTSD, OCD, survivor’s guilt, and addiction, Corbett transformed his pain into purpose. Through the creation of DDA, he built a legacy of hope, healing, and peer-driven recovery that continues to uplift countless lives.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the veterans who serve within our organization and embody this mission daily:
🇺🇸 Gerald Weller, DDA Board Chair
🇺🇸 Andrew J. Smith, Board of Director
🇺🇸 Greg Martin, DDA Outreach Specialist
🇺🇸 Jack Boren, DDA Volunteer
🇺🇸 Frances Sallah, DDA Administrative Manager
Your service—both in uniform and in recovery—honors Corbett’s vision and strengthens our community. We salute you.
