If your atlas (C1) and axis (C2) are misaligned, it can create tension around the brainstem and affect nerve signaling, posture, balance, and autonomic functions. Blood flow and cerebrospinal fluid circulation may also be subtly impacted, while surrounding muscles tighten to protect the area. This can lead to symptoms like headaches, dizziness, neck tightness, and difficulty concentrating, as the brainstem and upper cervical nerves aren’t communicating as efficiently as they should.
