Helping people through some of the most difficult times in their lives can give funeral directors a different perspective on life. We are reminded on a daily basis that every day is so precious. It's especially important that during the busy holiday season we all remember to be "present" all the time and enjoy spending time with our loved ones. Try not to get too caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season and remember why we celebrate in the first place. It's all about love, togetherness, and the promise of the season. Enjoy the love and support you find in your friends and family. Merry Christmas!

We are so fortunate to live on such a beautiful planet!
We are still not happy about the demise of all the Wolfe-Nelson florals. But they have been replanted and we will hopefully see the familiar red and white display scrolling around the building in the next month or so.

Hot or cold, day or night, our cat Squeak can find a box to rest in. Even one that's TOO small for her! Hope you are finding cool and comfortable places to hang out during this hot weather.

Well, THIS is the way our impatiens looked two weeks ago. Now, they are sad, semi-drowned plants hoping for a few days of sun. The potted plants are fine as they are under an overhang. We are sure that many of you are experiencing the same thing. The hot summers can be rough on plants, but this unending rain appears to be worse!

And the trees are in bloom! This is right across from Wolfe-Nelson in Sciotoville. Bulbs are popping, trees are budding out, and the days are warm. Spring is officially here!

03/19/2019

And it's SPRING! Don't look at the calendar! We may get some cold days, but I do believe that Winter has PASSED and the bulbs popping up all over Scioto County are backing me up on this. So happy to see the sun and know that the vegetable garden season is upon us.

Today we had a service for a long time local Veteran, EMT, firefighter, and fire chief, Donald Spradlin. Not only did numerous friends and relatives attend, but the street opposite the funeral home was lined with fire trucks and other emergency vehicles, all of whom led the procession to the cemetery. What a last, touching tribute to a man who dedicated his life to helping others!
