It’s the three most dreaded words on Christmas morning! Batteries. Not. Included! We know that in the rush of things that anyone, even Santa can forget to put the batteries in. So, we’ve teamed up with Classic Rock 107.5 The Breeze, to help on Christmas morning from 10 AM until 12 noon. We will be setup on the Farney Avenue side of East High School with batteries in sizes AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V. So, bring your child and their toy and we’ll do the work Santa forgot for free. This offer is good while supplies last and while you’re there you can register to win our annual rock ‘n’ roll Christmas prize baskets featuring The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, handmade beeswax candles, plus a hot wheels car prize pack!

🎆 How to Watch the Friends of Portsmouth Light Up the Sky Fireworks! 🎆

There are TWO great ways to catch the show tonight!

🎶 Come inside Spartan Stadium and enjoy a full evening of live music, food trucks, and vendors before the fireworks! Entry is just $5/person — gates open at 5PM, and fireworks blast off around 10:15PM.

🚗 Prefer to stay in your car or watch from nearby? No problem! You can still enjoy the fireworks from outside the stadium. They’ll be launched from the Little League fields near Branch Rickey Park (please stay off the fields for safety!).

However you watch, it’s going to be an unforgettable night! 🇺🇸

Connecting: Community Corner Radio Show

The Community Corner Radio Show started in March of 2006. It was the original idea of show creator Barb Pratt to bring community groups and people who were working together on community issues, challenges and opportunities to a live, talk radio show where they could share news about progress, possibilities and upcoming events. The show continues on after Barb retired and is currently hosted by Gina Collinsworth. Listen weekdays, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 9:00 am on AM1260 WNXT or streaming worldwide on www.sportsmouth1260.com. For more information, sponsorship opportunities or to request time to highlight current events and community issues, please contact WNXT’s Mary Dever at (740)354-1993.
