The parking lot and sidewalks have been shoveled but may still have a few slippery areas so proceed with caution if you have an appointment with us today. If you are shoveling snow, try bending your knees and hips to keep the pressure off of your lower back. Breathe in as you lift or push. Breathe out as you throw. Remember to take frequent breaks. Being out in the cold can cause your blood vessels to constrict. Within just two minutes of shoveling, your heart can reach 85% of it's maximum heart rate, according to the American Heart Association.
