I am excited to announce that I am accepting applications for a PA/NP mid level provider to join my busy, growing, cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery practice in Portsmouth, NH. Above everything, I am looking for an energetic person that has a passion for delivering high quality patient care with heart that also loves being part of a team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited too: in office patient care including preop and postop patients and new consults, in office aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, surgical first assisting at the hospital and surgery center, emergency room and inpatient consultations and procedures. We are excited to announce that we are looking to grow our Plastic Surgery Specialists at Portsmouth family. The word is out and business is booming so we are looking for a medical assistant to join our energetic, patient care focused, service driven team. This person would assist Dr. Harrington in seeing reconstructive and cosmetic new patient consults, preoperative visits and postoperative follow ups in our new state of the art office. During this challenging time, we have some amazing news!!! We are expanding our team!! Dr. Harrington is looking for an ambitious and energetic person that has a passion for aesthetics and practice expansion to take on the role of full time Cosmetic Consultant at her new office on Pease. This is a Wentworth-Douglass Hospital employed position.

Responsibilities include: meeting with patients, scheduling consultation appointments, scheduling surgeries, assisting with marketing programs, assisting the practice manager with administrative tasks, selling high-end cosmetic surgery procedures and skin care products, and serving as a patient ambassador to the Wentworth-Douglass community for plastic surgery services.

Qualifications:
Experience- Minimum Requirement: 3+ years sales or medical office experience with focus on customer service, billing, marketing and operations. Knowledge of plastic surgery procedures preferred. Aesthetician/skin care experience a plus.
Education-High school diploma required and some college business or medical courses strongly preferred. Aesthetician training a plus.
Training-Proven record of excellence in customer service and sales. Knowledge of medical procedure terminology and product usage required. Must be proficient with patient management software, email, internet applications, photo imaging software, Microsoft office and social media.
Special Skills- Strong attention to detail, team player, ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. Excellent sales and customer service ability and willingness to serve as ambassador to the practice to grow elective procedure business. High ethical standards and respect for confidentiality.

My first mammogram is in the books!! I have been putting it off since turning the big 4-0 earlier this year even though I treat women with breast cancer every day and all too often women in their 40’s or even younger. Unfortunately, as women, we too often put everyone and everything before ourselves. So in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in honor of all my beautifully strong warrior patients that have fought or are currently fighting this disease, I made myself a priority and got it done! It was fast and easy and the staff here was amazing! So PLEASE ladies... take care of you and schedule yours today!
