"The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned." - Maya Angelou

When families come through our doors, our hope is that it feels like a place where you can just be.

That’s why we’ve put so much care into creating comfortable, quiet spaces for families to gather. A place to sit, take a breath, share a memory, or just have a moment together.

Sometimes, it’s those small comforts, a soft chair, a quiet room, a little space, that help carry you through a hard day.

"Spring adds new life and new beauty to all that is." Jessica Harrelson

There’s just something about spring!

Even after a hard season, there are still small signs of new life all around us.

If you’re walking through grief right now, maybe spring and the warmer weather we've had is just a gentle reminder that healing comes little by little, and that it’s okay to take it one day at a time.

Grief is hard and can show up in a lot of different ways, and there’s no “right” way to walk through it. Some days are easier than others, and sometimes you just need a little help along the way.

So if you ever find yourself needing support, we do have grief resources and other helpful materials available. Books, guides, and information that can help you or your family navigate the tough days.

You don’t have to go through it alone. If you ever want to stop by, call, or just ask about what’s available, we’re always glad to help however we can.

"Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch." — Jack Thorne

Sometimes the people we love aren’t here the way they used to be… but in a lot of ways, they’re still with us.

You hear their laugh when someone tells a certain story, or you cook their favorite meal or you catch yourself repeating something they always used to say.

Those little moments matter and that's how love keeps showing up.

Wishing everyone a good Monday.

Preplanning really isn’t about paperwork, it’s about taking a big weight off your family later.

In this video, Phil talks about how much easier it is on everyone when things are decided ahead of time. No guessing, no pressure, and no trying to figure it all out after someone passes away.

Like he says, “we’re here to hold your hand.”

And that’s exactly it. We’ll walk with you through it, be sure to keep it simple, and make sure your family is cared for when that time comes.

Number three in our deep questions series...“What happens to my preplanning money?”

This one is important. When someone prepays for a funeral, they’re trusting that money will be there years, sometimes decades, down the road. That’s not just trust., that’s faith.

Compassion, trust, and strength are what will determine the future of funeral service. Families aren’t just trusting us with their most precious loved ones, they’re trusting us with their hard-earned money.

Here’s what you should know:
It is illegal and unethical for a funeral home to dip into preplanning funds to cover operating expenses.
Those funds are required to be placed into properly regulated accounts or insurance policies.
The person owns the preneed policy, not the funeral home. That means you can move it to another funeral home at any time if you choose.

Transparency matters and we operate the old-school way- conservative, careful, and accountable. We do not touch preneed funds. They remain secure and protected until the family needs them.

We’ve done it this way for over a century, and that’s why we sleep well at night.

When choosing a funeral home, ask the hard questions because you deserve clear answers.
