We hear a lot of misconceptions about funerals, so we wanted to clear a few things up—friend to friend.

Funerals don’t “make us too sad.” Losing someone is already sad, and funerals just give us a safe place to feel that and not be alone in it.

They aren’t really an inconvenience either. Taking a little time to honor someone you love and support their family is a pretty special thing.

Funerals and cremation can go together. You can still have a service before or after cremation—whatever feels right.

They don’t have to be religious. A funeral can be simple and personal, based on who your loved one was.

And they’re not just for adults. Kids grieve too, and it can be healthy for them to be part of saying goodbye.

At the end of the day, funerals are about love, support, and helping each other through a hard time. We’re always here if you have questions.
