Simple classroom positional changes (instead of sitting) that go a long way! 🙅🏻♀️🪑
☝🏽Prone on Elbows (“Superman” or “Tummy Time” for Big Kids)
Lying on the stomach, propped on elbows while drawing, reading, during circle time, play, or manipulating materials.
⭐️Builds shoulder and core stability needed for fine motor and gross motor development, attention, and eye-hand coordination.
✌🏽Kneeling or Half-Kneeling at a Vertical Surface
Working on an easel, wall, or chalkboard while kneeling.
⭐️ Strengthens hips and trunk
⭐️ Encourages shoulder stability, wrist extension and midline crossing for fine motor and visual motor development.
