David Lee Politte

David Lee Politte, a loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on April 3, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, David’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and the simple joys found in everyday moments.

David’s passion for woodworking and love of music were defining elements of his character. A sports enthusiast, he particularly loved watching football and baseball, proudly supporting his favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the St. Louis Cardinals. Beyond these interests, David found great happiness in camping trips, fishing, and embracing the outdoors, where he found solace and a profound appreciation for life’s natural beauty.

On December 11, 1999, David was united in marriage to Tracy (Moon) Politte, and together they shared 26 years of loving partnership. His pride and joy were his family — being a devoted father and grandfather stood as his greatest accomplishments.

David is lovingly survived by his wife, Tracy Politte; four daughters: Jennifer Juliette and her husband Tyler of Cadet, Missouri; Jessica Holloway and her husband Daniel of Potosi, Missouri; Brandi Politte of Potosi, Missouri; and Sarah Politte of Cadet, Missouri. He is also survived by two sons: Brandon Politte and his wife Jamie of Hillsboro, Missouri, and Nick Politte and his wife Jennifer of Mineral Point, Missouri.

His family extends further to include his cherished siblings: two sisters, Jody Huskey and Sammy Skiles of Mineral Point, Missouri, and Tammy Lee and her husband Bobby of Mineral Point, Missouri; as well as three brothers, Bobby Huskey and his wife Crystal of Cadet, Missouri, Mark Huskey and his wife Claudia of Cadet, Missouri, and Steve Huskey and his wife Robin of Potosi, Missoui, mother-in-law, Dorothy Moon, sister-in-law, Angie Moon and his brother-in-law Stanley Moon Jr.

David’s legacy endures through his grandchildren Kelsie, Brandon Jr., Aeriana, Cash, Lane, Riley, Gavin, Colin, Nick, Noah, Owen, Layla, Kenley, Kobe, Kason, Zoey, Silas, and Kamryn, and his great-grandson Jack, whose lives he touched deeply.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Leoma (Politte) Shepard and Eugene Huskey, father-in-law Stanley Moon as well as his uncle Gary Politte, who was like a brother to him.

David’s enduring commitment to his family and his quiet strength as a man who treasured the simple pleasures of life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Arrangements are being handled by Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, MO. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Funeral services will be at Moore Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026. Interment will be at Juliette Family Cemetery, Cadet, MO.

Wendelle Emily "Wendy"

Wendelle Emily "Wendy," born August 12, 1936, in Blackwell, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026. Known for his hardworking nature and deep love for his family, Wendelle lived a life marked by dedication and heartfelt devotion to those closest to him.

Throughout his life, Wendelle found joy in the simple pleasures that connected him with loved ones and the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman who cherished time spent by the water, immersed in nature’s tranquility. His passion for country music was ever-present, a soundtrack to many cherished memories. A true host at heart, Wendelle delighted in organizing fish fries and barbecues that brought family and friends together in celebration and good company. Evening hours were often spent sharing the quiet challenge of puzzles with his beloved wife “Red,” or enjoying classic western movies, which were a treasured pastime for him.

Wendelle’s commitment to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Hopple and her husband Jess of Potosi, Missouri, and Kelley Wicker and her husband Briant of Cadet, Missouri; and one son, Wendelle "Boo" Emily and his wife Dawn of Cadet, Missouri, and Greg (Beth) Bequette of Cadet, Missouri. He also leaves behind four sisters: Rose Mary O’Hara and her husband Tim of Dittmer, Missouri; Alberta Sutton and her husband Dave of St. Clair, Missouri; Kim Stone of Sullivan, Missouri; and Linda Emily and Eddie Chaffin of Pacific, Missouri. His two brothers, Ted Emily of Imperial, Missouri, and Joseph "Boo Boo" Emily and his wife Sue of Arnold, Missouri, also survive him. Wendelle’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Robbie Wills, Ashley (Victor) Henson, Clint (Catherine) Wicker, D.J. (Chelsea) Wicker, Chelsea Wicker, Devin Emily, Alexis (Zane) Rice, and Brandon (Kendra) Emily.

Preceding Wendelle in death were his beloved wife, Marilyn "Red" Emily; his parents, Sylvia (Bequette) Emily and Abraham "Tiny" Emily; sons Rick, Joey, and Stevie Emily; sisters Marie Hoff, Mary Ann Brewer, Nancy Schneider, Becky Emily, Debbie Atwell, Patricia Emily, and Sarah Eudaley; brothers Joe Emily and Eugene Emily; and grandchildren Joshua Wills and Stevie Emily, Jr.

Wendelle Emily's life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, familial love, and joyful companionship. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. His spirit lives in the hearts of his family and friends, who cherish the memories of his enduring kindness and strength.

JoAnn French, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 77. Born November 12, 1948, in Irondale, Missouri, JoAnn lived a life marked by love, joy, and a radiant spirit that touched all who knew her.

JoAnn was united in marriage to John French on July 30, 1965, and they shared a remarkable 60 years together—a testament to their enduring partnership and devotion. Known for her fun-loving nature, JoAnn embraced life with a smile always gracing her face. Her warmth and genuine care for people were evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family alike.

Her passions were many and reflected her vibrant personality. JoAnn loved to sew, a craft she pursued with dedication and creativity. She found great joy in camping and riding motorcycles, activities that exemplified her adventurous spirit. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she faithfully attended Irondale and Frankclay Church of the Nazarene, finding community and solace in worship. Additionally, JoAnn was an enthusiastic square dancer, delighting in the music and camaraderie the activity offered.

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband, John French; two daughters, Marie Wisdom and her husband David of Bismarck, Missouri, and Heather McWilliams with her husband Coby of Bonne Terre, Missouri. She also leaves behind three sisters: Arlene Crocker and Les of Irondale, Missouri, Paula Coursen of Herculaneum, Missouri, and Bev Marler and Sheril of Phoenix, Arizona; as well as one brother, Butch Marler and his wife Linda of Bismarck, Missouri.

Among those JoAnn held dear were her special daughters, Donna Boyer and Kathy Judlin, who were a cherished part of her life. She was a proud grandmother to Riley, Lane, and Chase, and a loving great-grandmother to Rosalie. Additionally, JoAnn is remembered fondly by her brother-in-law, John Moore, of Irondale.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Beulah (Goetz) Marler; her daughter, Roxanna French; grandsons, Jonathan and Josh Wisdom; brothers-in-law, Tom Coursen and Ronnie Crocker; and sisters, Velma Moore and Gail Marler.

JoAnn’s legacy is one of joy, faith, and unwavering love. Her vibrant spirit and heartfelt kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a woman who truly lived life to its fullest and touched countless lives with her smile and generosity.
