Our refreshed Diakon logo officially launched! While the look is new, our mission and values remain the same.

Why the change? Because first impressions matter. We’ve heard from people who are unsure if Diakon was open to them because of their faith background. The truth is, we’ve always been here for everyone—children, youth, families, adults, and seniors from all walks of life.

This update follows months of thoughtful planning, including professional design feedback and final approval from our Board of Directors. Our new design, with its welcoming starburst, is a symbol of hope shining bright and a promise that all are welcome. Each of our programs also has an updated logo that connects back to our Diakon brand, showing we are one united mission.

As you begin to see this new look across signs and materials, remember what hasn’t changed - our heart for serving people and offering help and hope to all.🔅

Healthy Steps in Motion
Reduce your risk of falling by joining this evidence-based fall prevention exercise program designed for people ages 60+ of all fitness levels! The one-hour sessions are held twice a week for 4 weeks and are taught by certified instructors. A fall risk screening is offered. Enjoy the benefits of improved balance, strength and flexibility. There is no charge and a guidebook is included. Sessions to be held on Tuesdays and Fridays, November 4th through December 2nd from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W Arch Street, Pottsville PA 17901. No class on Friday, November 28th. Please call Jenny at 570-624-3017 to register by October 24th.
