✨ EDUCATIONAL MOMENT, MAMAS ✨

Recently, I had a patient come to me after her doctor was unable to locate her IUD strings during a vaginal exam. She had this IUD in place for 5 years and was preparing to have it removed and replaced.

Her doctor sent her to me at Dutchess 3D Imaging for a transvaginal ultrasound to confirm the location of the IUD… and surprisingly…… it was nowhere to be found. 😳

This is exactly why I educate my patients on the importance of a follow-up ultrasound after IUD placement.
