Reflexology is an ancient modality whereby thumb & finger techniques are skillfully applied to reflex points on the feet,hands,face, & ears. This offers the body an opportunity for complete relaxation and homeostasis ( balance) Although some of the techniques may feel like a massage.. this is NOT a massage. They are completely different modalities, techniques & focus. For example, Reflexology focuses on the CNS,( not deep tissue/muscle) & you do NOT have to remove your clothing or lie face down . A certified Reflexologist is a "specialist" if you will, that receives well over 200 hours of classroom training & another 200+ of actual hands-on internship for Reflexology of the foot alone. Hand, face & ear are all additional training & certifcations. Reflexology is excellent for many ailments including: arthritis, sciatica, fibromyalgia, insomnia, anxiety/stress, neuropathy, migraines, PTSD, ADHD, just to name a few. It is appropriate for ages
