For many breast cancer survivors, the journey doesn't end when the surgery is over. Because of lymph node removal and radiation, the body’s "drainage system" can become compromised. This leads to Lymphedema—a chronic swelling that most commonly affects the arm, chest, or hand.
Early detection is the key to managing lymphedema. Watch for subtle signs like a "heavy" feeling in your arm or chest, jewelry that suddenly feels snug, or changes in skin texture.
At Nurturing Expressions, we partner with experts to provide the compression gear and education you need to stay active and comfortable. Awareness is power—share this to help a fellow survivor know what to look for. 💙
