Here I am in at Blue Spirit Resort, Nosara, Costa Rica, at a much needed retreat. After only one day I already feel more relaxed and at peace. It’s amazing what nature can do for us.

I was inspired by my mentor, to check out my ChatGPT Roast for fun. 😜🤣 😱 I was surprised, maybe naively, at the accuracy of the information and insights it about me. I believe that a daily practice of self-care is the most important tool to support emotional health and well-being and being in nature is a very healing experience that is available to all of us. Maybe it's not possible to go on a hike daily but this is definitely a tool that is worth adding to your tool box. My favorite place to go hiking is The Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. As some of you know, making jewelry is one of my greatest passions! I get lost in it. I feel inspired and it makes me feel good! It’s part on my self-care tool box! I spoke with the mother who has a young daughter who was diagnosed with ge***al herpes (HSV1) this week. She was talking about how her daughter was an accomplished young adult who was still devastated about her diagnosis 2 years after the fact. She was healthy and experiencing no outbreaks but still devastated.
It always makes me so sad to hear these stories because here is a person who has a virus that ONE THIRD OF THE WORLD POPULATION HAS, yet they feel so devastated and demoralized because society has told them that it's not okay to have herpes and the stigma is so powerful that the pain permeates all aspects of their lives.
I work with people who want to challenge their views on what is herpes get through the pain and make peace with herpes and live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life!
