I remember sitting in this hallway alone, terrified. I was waiting for my ultrasound of my wrists which would then be able to diagnosis my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I would love to say it’s been an easy road, but it really has had many ups and downs.

The biggest up though, is I think it was meant to happen, so I can help others. I feel so deeply what my patients feel, the pain, the frustration, the helplessness. I also feel their wins. Finding a food that was triggering their joint pain, beating the fatigue that is debilitating, being able to workout without pain.

Does it suck yes. Would I rather not have it, yes. Would I be the provider I am without it, probably not.

A passion was started in this hallway 6 years ago. If you have autoimmune issues, I would love to be apart of your journey. To work with you, to be there for you and to see if there are other ways to support you.

While it might not be the happiest of anniversaries, I do think it happened for a reason!

Brooklyns first day of Kindergarten!!

She was so excited and has been ready for this day for awhile. I don’t think I was expecting to be so sad when the bus left this morning. I was so fortunate to be able to stay home with my kids for 10 years, but man, time feels like it’s going really fast on days like today.

I am so excited for all 3 of them and the school year ahead, just would like time to go a tiny bit slower!

Brag moment on my husband for a minute. He planned his first event supporting Type 1 diabetes and childhood cancer tonight. With the help of many, 250 kids had such a fun night playing soccer with some special players from the Columbus Crew and then getting autographs after, all while raising awareness and raising money.

He has had so many meetings and lots of late nights this week wanting to make sure everything went smoothly. I think it was a huge success!

I’ll share more pictures from the event later, but I am so proud of Evan, I think this needed it’s own space.
