Not all “healing” practices reconnect you to yourself.
Some of the things that feel the best — journaling, dancing, emotional releases, massage, energy work — can actually take you out of your body if you’re using them to escape discomfort rather than move through it.
There’s a huge difference between being soothed
and being aligned.
Most people don’t know how to move their own energy,
how to move their own body,
or how to cultivate grounding from the inside out.
When you learn to stay in your body, healing stops being something you chase —
it becomes the way you live.

Alignment Changed Everything
There’s a peace that comes when you stop chasing healing
and start living in alignment.
Your body knows how to find its way back —
you just have to let it.
Would you like to know how I did it?
More importantly, would you like to know if it could work for you?
I had such a great time chatting with on her Real Human Design Stories podcast.
We talked about embodiment, movement, and what really happens when you let your body lead your Human Design experiment.
Several years ago my husband and I sold everything and moved to Ecuador to live more authentically—and that journey became the foundation for How to Human.
If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to live your design in real life—not just understand it—this episode will resonate.

When your body comes into alignment, your mind doesn’t have to work so hard to “figure things out.”
That’s where real change begins.
We talk about being grounded like it’s a mindset.
It’s not.
It’s a neurological state that depends on how well your body and brain are communicating.
When movement patterns are off, your nervous system can’t make sense of what’s happening — and your mind scrambles to find control.
That’s how anxiety, overthinking, and burnout start.
Here’s what happens when your body and brain finally learn to speak the same language again.

Your breath isn’t just air.
It’s the language your nervous system listens to.
If your ribcage can’t expand and contract, your body can’t feel safe — no matter how many techniques you try.
This is where science meets soul — in motion.
If you’re ready to stop trying to regulate and actually feel it,
start with Body First
It’s not about doing more — it’s about restoring what your body already knows how to do.

We’ve been taught to fix our minds by thinking more.
But your body is the original operating system — and when its communication breaks down, so does everything else.
This isn’t about therapy, mindset work, or affirmations.
It’s about learning to coordinate movement so your nervous system can finally find harmony again.
That’s where science meets soul — in motion.

What is Holistic Health? It’s an approach to healing that encompasses your Whole Being—from what you eat and drink, to how you move your body, and how you handle stress and respond to life circumstances.
For an example, let’s look at weight. I’ve heard it said many times that a healthy weight is determined by diet (80%) and exercise (20%). While I could poke a few holes in this philosophy based on age and genetics, for the most part, I can agree with those stats. The problem with this view is that you are MORE than what you eat and how many steps you take.
Your physical body, from how much it weighs to how fluidly it moves to how healthy it feels, is representative of your emotions, your thoughts, the things you’ve experienced, AND what you eat and whether or not you are active or sedentary.
The truth is—you do not exist in a vacuum. You exist in-relationship. When those relationships are harmonious, your body is better able to recover from injury or ailment. This doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed to be free of disease. It does mean that you aren’t defined by a diagnosis.
I can adjust your joints, dry needle muscular pain, and give you nutritional tips and supplemental recommendations—but these things are not the WHOLE you. They are a part. Will you see improvement? Absolutely! Especially if you are in harmonious relationships with your Higher Power, yourself, and others. If there is significant dissonance in those relationships, they will limit how much better you’ll feel and how efficiently you’ll heal.
This is why I’ve created the Life In The Sweet Spot MasterClass, Podcast, and Game, the Activating Ascension Protocol, and the Engage your Intuition Course, along with more than a dozen guided meditations freely available on Insight Timer.
Will chiropractic, dry needling, or nutritional tweaks work for you? If the majority of dysfunction is rooted in the physical body, then, yes! Absolutely! If the disturbance in your physical health is rooted in stress, trauma, or challenging relationships with others, then, not to the extent you would like it to.
Over the last decade, I’ve found that managing expectations is an important part of what I do. I ask questions that aren’t even on the radar of most other doctors. I ask them so that I can get a better idea of what your bigger picture looks like and give you a heads up of how that picture is influencing your ability to heal.
By all means start with the physical—I LOVE adjusting patients and needling away their pain—just don’t stay there. Explore my self-study options (or someone else's) for your mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and reclaim your WHOLE HEALTH!
