"GO BIG OR GO HOME!" Is something we have all heard. In this industry, the" GO BIG" part typically refers to growth to a certian point and that typically requires outsourcing. There is a zone between the struggle to meet demand and taking that plunge to outsource. In this zone things can fester. Customer service, ability to project timelines, and crew moral can take a hit.
CGM is in that zone and has been for a while.
We started out making custom works of art, but got bit by the growth bug. Started trying to wholesale produce (went poorly) and making general size/fit items. The gear is awesome, but our ability to produce sucked.
WE WILL NOT OUTSOURCE. So, we are at a crossroad and have re-evaluated things. We are going back to our comfort zone. Where we are our best and our customer service is the best. Focusing on the customer and custom builds. Saddles that fit, pouches that meet a specific need, and a few off the wall products that you didn't know you need. Our growth is getting back to our roots. We are staying American Made.
We are dropping the items that are just another version of something else that is available out there, and simplifying our general selections.
Right now we are focusing on getting current orders out the door. For those of you waiting, it is coming!
