Shock the Gut, Not Yourself

Fiber should be a daily non-negotiable, yet most Americans are missing the mark.

Recommended daily fiber:
• Women — ~25 g 
• Men — ~38 g

Average American intake: about 10–16 g/day — less than half what most people need.
Some data show Americans consume only 58% of recommended fiber per 1,000 calories consumed.

>90% of women and ~97% of men don’t meet fiber goals.
That gap affects digestion, metabolic balance, blood sugar, cholesterol, and even mood.
Get mindful about fiber because your gut deserves better.

Fun (but important) cholesterol fact:

Fiber, especially soluble fiber: helps lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol by binding bile acids in the gut, forcing your body to use cholesterol to make more. Translation?
More fiber = less circulating LDL.

From processing and filling prescriptions (yes—even compounds! 🧪), managing adherence pill packs, and communicating with doctors, patients, and insurance companies, she truly helps keep the gears turning every day.
