Powhatan Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team. We are a locally owned private practice that has served the Powhatan community for over 25 years. Our clinic emphasizes patient-centered care, functional outcomes, and a supportive team environment.
This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working closely with patients, values hands-on treatment, and thrives in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, manual therapy, and functional training
Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT
Educate patients on home exercise programs and recovery expectations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Virginia
Graduate of an accredited PTA program
Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
