Competitive games have been our absolute favorite in the Courtyard among friends recently! We cheered each other on the other day as we enjoyed a throwing game to see who could get the most out of 10 in the basket. John held his slight lead and was so proud of his phenomenal 7/10 score! The residents even placed their bets on how many balls our care team could get as well.

It's all fun and games here in the Courtyard and we love that about our neighborhood! ☺️

Serving up smiles this morning in the Courtyard!

Beach volleyball was such a hit with our courtyard friends! We definitely laughed a ton, had great competition, and are looking forward to this coming back on our engagement calendar again!! 🏐😎

Shirley May, our Resident of the Month for April, was born in San Diego, California, on January 13, 1932.

As a young girl, Shirley moved frequently due to her father’s service in the Navy. Her travels took her from Cuba to Panama and even to the Samoan Islands.

Shirley shares that it was difficult for her to maintain friendships, as she often had to relocate after only a short time.

Today, Shirley is wonderfully social and enjoys attending activities at The Village at Mission. She loves spending time with others, participating in community events, and making new friends along the way.

Today was a perfect day for gardening. Our Assisted Living green thumbs got to work planting fresh veggies and flowers in the planter boxes.

Beans, radishes, peas, and heirloom flowers are officially in the ground — now we let those April showers do their thing. We can’t wait to see everything bloom.

And we even had a special visitor hop by… we’ve named him Mini Bugz Bunny 🐰
