LifeStreams

LifeStreams Who We Are...
Known as leaders in the field of rehabilitative therapies and other related services.

The entire idea behind our company is to allow you to live your life...your way.

* We have all worked in various areas of social services for over 30 years, and in that time have been involved with several states and several companies. But, we always thought, “we can do this better!” We found that many companies and agencies make things too difficult, are not well-trained in their field, and

lose sight of putting the person first.

* We are Cognitive/Behavioral Therapists, Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors certified in brain injury and also clinical addiction, and seasoned field staff.

* We focus on a wholistic approach. We believe that a person is more that just the sum of their parts, and likewise a peron’s life is more than just one situation or time period of their life. To live a happy fulfilling life, we all need to seek a healthy lifestyle…physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually...whatever each of those mean to you. Only then will we truly reach our personal goals, and maintain our independence and lessen dependence on supports later in life.

* In fact, that is the inspiration for our company’s name

“LifeSteams”…

Today was our Kansas Brain Injury Resource Showcase co-hosted by LifeStreams, Maximus, and RCIL!

We were proud to bring together many partners in the continuum of care across the State of Kansas, including Kansas Department of Health and Environment, KDADS, Maximus, ADRC/Liberty, Brain Injury Association of America, Sunflower, United Healthcare, Healthy Blue, and service providers.

This event created space for meaningful collaboration and shared ideas on improving services. Conversations focused on strategies for waitlist mitigation, development of standardized reviews, and strengthening transition planning—working toward a more seamless experience for clients from assessment to enrollment and ongoing engagement in services.

There was incredible energy in the room, with so many positive and productive discussions among all entities involved. This is what true collaboration looks like!

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such an impactful day. We look forward to continued partnership and progress.

Stay tuned for more—we’re already planning to bring this showcase to the Wichita area this fall!

We had a great time today connecting with the team at Ability KC for a Lunch & Learn!

LifeStreams was truly honored to have the opportunity to share and discuss brain injury services across Missouri and Kansas.

We were especially proud to present on the importance of continuing Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) in both states-ensuring individuals can receive the supports they need while remaining in their homes and communities.

Thank you to Ability KC for the warm welcome and for the incredible work you do every day. We look forward to continued collaboration and making a meaningful impact together.

LifeStreams was excited to be part of the “Pie Day” at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka, hosted by the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City!!

We talked with legislators, staff members, and community partners, continuing education on the importance and outcomes of Home and Community Based Services in lieu of long term facility placement, and to advocate for adequate funding for the Brain Injury Waiver in order to avoid a waitlist and provide valuable services in the homes and communities that individuals choose and that make sense for them in their own lives.
