We had an amazing time at our County Fair and Family Fun Day leading up to Halloween! It was wonderful to see so many families and friends enjoying the games, winning prizes, and helping us choose a name for our newly adopted cow. Welcome to the Meadowbrook family, ATLEE! • Wear properly fitting and non-slip shoes
• Keep paths clear
• Take it slow when changing positions
• Use mobility aides when necessary

November celebrates more than food and football it's also about Caregivers, Alzheimer’s, and Family Stories!

- National Caregivers Month honors the millions of unpaid family, friends, and neighbors who care for loved ones with chronic illness or disability. We are grateful to partner with Sandwiched KC and proud of Brittani Rhoades presenting at the Heartland Caregiving Conference again this year!
- Alzheimer’s Awareness Month raises public understanding of Alzheimer’s, promotes early detection, and supports those affected. We are grateful to partner with Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter and host our Memory Keepers support group on the last Monday of the month at 5pm.
- National Family Story Month invites everyone to share personal stories, especially our residents and team members to incorporate their history and heritage in their experience at Meadowbrook Senior Living. We will have many opportunities to show and share them throughout the month: from showing off family collectibles to potlucks of favorite recipes and more!

Together, these observances celebrate caregivers, spread awareness, and encourage sharing stories that help others feel more connected to our community.

Special Invitation! Join us for our monthly support group for adult children of parents with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Memory Keepers in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter! This month, we welcome all caregivers and their loved ones to this presentation, as the holidays can be tricky for caregivers.

Topic: "Preparing for the Holidays"
As the year ends, the holidays can bring joy but also stress. Our partners from the Alzheimer’s Association will share tips to help you navigate this season with confidence.

We’re thrilled to introduce Nibbles, who has graciously accepted this year's title of Candy Monster at Meadowbrook Senior Living!

With Halloween just around the corner, Nibbles is focused on reminding us to have fun, in charge of quality control for candy donations, and making sure we have plenty of goodies for all the sweet treat seekers this week!

From organizing treats for everyone who visits to spreading joy and excitement, Nibbles is ready to take a bite out of the big responsibility of Candy Monster!

We say “Boo to the flu!" Our on‑site Flu and COVID vaccine clinic was a success, and we've got the stickers to prove it!

It’s recommended to get your shots before Halloween so you stay healthy for the holidays and the upcoming winter season.
