🦆 A special thank you from Prairie Maison!

We’d like to give a big thank you to Nelson’s Agri-Center for their generous donation of a 50 lb bag of wildlife feed to help care for our feathered visitor at the Frenchtown gazebo.

For the past 14 years, generations of ducks have returned to our campus to nest and raise their young in a safe and welcoming environment. It’s something our residents truly enjoy and look forward to each year.

We’re grateful for the support from our local community in helping us continue this special tradition 💛

It’s been a fun-filled week at Bluff Haven!

We enjoyed musical entertainment from Kevin Mattson, along with some time in the kitchen making no-bake peanut butter granola bars.

Residents also took part in a couple of great games. Penny Ante gave everyone a chance to chat, get to know each other, and compete for the most pennies, while Hot Seat kept things lively with word clues and plenty of laughs.

We also celebrated our April birthdays with a fun party, complete with lemon bars, Fruit Loop bars, and plenty of drinks 🎉

To wrap it all up, we played a dice game where everyone went home with a prize 🎲 Be sure to check out the video to see one of our residents enjoying his!

It was a great week of fun, conversation, and celebration ❤️

It’s been an entertaining week at Prairie Maison!

We kicked things off with some beach ball play, and things got a little wild in the best way. Residents had fun keeping the ball moving and even keeping the activity staff on their toes, which led to plenty of laughs.

We also played a game of Card Bingo, where it’s anyone’s game until the very last card. There was lots of good-natured heckling along the way, making it even more entertaining.

This week also included a visit from Kevin Mattson, whose musical entertainment is always a favorite. Along with the music, he shared some funny stories that had everyone smiling.

To wrap up the week, residents enjoyed seeing their artwork displayed on the Resident Art Wall. With April showers bringing flowers, it was a great way to showcase all the creativity from the past few weeks 🌸

It’s been a week full of laughter, music, and creativity ❤️

It was a fun and busy week at Prairie Maison!

We started off making butterflies using clothespins, coffee filters, and paint dobbers. Some of them got a little wild, with one eye or some pretty interesting hairstyles, which gave everyone a good laugh.

We also had a great surprise with a donation of beautiful flowers 🌺 and fun balloons from a birthday party. It really helped brighten the day.

We played Pictionary, and the residents had a lot of fun trying to interpret the activity staff’s not-so-great drawings, which led to plenty of laughs.

A competitive game of Card Sharks followed, with residents cheering each other on and even trying to get one another to guess wrong.

Residents also got to enjoy some time outside and soak up a little sunshine ☀️

Throughout the week, there was lots of laughter, music, and art. Residents made sun catchers for when the sun decides to shine and created sand art, while also sharing memories and talking about songs from years ago.

To finish off the week, residents made May baskets with the activity staff and nursing students.

It was a great week full of fun and laughter ❤️

It’s been a busy and eventful week at Bluff Haven!

We kicked things off with an Easter 🐣 egg match game, where residents searched for matching candies inside eggs and enjoyed a sweet reward at the end.

Next up was Swat Ball, played two different ways 🎈. First with balloons and fly swatters, and then with balloons and pool noodles. Both versions brought plenty of movement, laughter, and friendly competition.

Midweek, residents got creative while painting their paper mâché bowls. It was a little messy, but the finished results were well worth it.

We also played Left Right Center 🎲, a dice game that brought its own challenges and plenty of laughs as everyone tried to keep track of their lefts and rights.

After all the rain earlier in the week, we were finally able to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine ☀️ outside. Residents spent time in the shelter, and we also planted vegetables in our garden boxes. It may have been a bit muddy, but it was a great day spent outdoors.

To wrap up the week, we enjoyed a wonderful concert from Mr. Davies’s high school band out of Seneca, Wisconsin. The performance was excellent, and the students stayed afterward to visit and socialize with residents.

It was a week full of activity, creativity, and connection ❤️

🧺 Happy National Laundry Day from Prairie Maison!

Today we’re recognizing one of our behind-the-scenes teams who help keep everything running smoothly. Our incredible laundry staff.

They may not always be seen, but their work is felt every single day. From sorting and washing to folding and delivering fresh linens, they play an essential role in the comfort and care of our residents.

A big thank you to Elizabeth, Madyson, Starr, Hailey, Andrea, and Lori for all that you do 💙

And of course…

What’s a laundry staff’s worst nightmare?

It’s been a lively and laughter-filled week at Prairie Maison!

What started as a quiet puzzle activity quickly turned into a playful snowball toss, as residents teamed up and turned their attention toward staff in good fun. It brought out plenty of laughs and energy for everyone involved.

The fun continued with a parachute game that had residents working together, and at times playfully teaming up against staff with flying rubber chickens and pigs. These moments of movement, coordination, and laughter are all part of what makes activities like this so engaging.

Residents also got creative with a DIY air hockey game, using pool noodles, tissue boxes, and container lids to spark some friendly competition.

We were also treated to a wonderful live performance by Terry Howard, bringing music and entertainment to the week.

We also had a special visit from a newborn, creating a sweet and memorable moment for those who were able to spend time together.

It was also a meaningful week as we said thank you to the student nurses who spent time with us. We appreciate the care and connection they shared with our residents 👩‍⚕️

It’s been a week full of laughter, creativity, and memorable moments.

It’s been another fun and active week at Bluff Haven!

We started the week with some exercise and a game of chance using dice 🎲, followed by a midweek Uno game that brought out some friendly competition and plenty of laughter.

Residents also enjoyed a hands-on paper mâché project that got a little messy but was a lot of fun. We’re looking forward to turning the finished pieces into bowls and painting them next week.

To close out the week, everyone enjoyed happy hour with drinks, snacks, and great conversation 🥂. A highlight was “Eggstra Hands,” a team game where residents worked together using just one hand each to assemble eggs 🥚. Let’s just say a few teams got a little creative with the rules, which made the competition even more entertaining.

It was a wonderful week of activities, teamwork, and time spent together.
