✨ Skin Lesions & Laser Treatments at Lotus Aesthetics & Wellness ✨

At Lotus Aesthetics & Wellness, your safety always comes first. Our advanced laser technology, including our Pico Laser and Ablative Erbium YAG laser, can beautifully treat many benign skin lesions and pigmentation concerns. These devices allow us to precisely target pigment, smooth skin texture, and safely remove many common cosmetic lesions with excellent healing and cosmetic results.

However, before treating any pigmented spot, it’s important to make sure it’s benign.

A helpful rule we follow:

➡️ If the lesion is raised and waxy, it’s often safe to treat.
➡️ If it’s flat and irregular, it should be evaluated and possibly biopsied first.

🚩 We do NOT treat lesions that appear suspicious, including those that are:
• Flat with irregular pigment
• Multiple colors
• Showing gray dots or granularity
• Asymmetric in shape
• Changing in size, color, or appearance
• Bleeding

If we see any of these features, we will recommend evaluation by a dermatology provider before proceeding with cosmetic treatment.

We are fortunate to have a trusted local dermatology provider, Lacie Werkmeister, NP, who specializes in dermatology and can evaluate or biopsy lesions when needed. Patients are also welcome to see any dermatology provider of their preference. It is imperative that you are having yearly skin checks with a provider.

Once a lesion is confirmed benign, our lasers can safely and effectively treat many common cosmetic skin concerns, including:

✔ Seborrheic keratosis (“stuck-on” brown spots)
✔ Skin tags
✔ Solar lentigines (sun spots)
✔ Cherry angiomas (red spots)
✔ Sebaceous hyperplasia
✔ Dermatosis papulosa nigra

Our Pico Laser is excellent for targeting unwanted pigment and sun damage, while our Erbium YAG laser can precisely remove superficial lesions and resurface the skin for smoother, more youthful results.
