Many clients require very minimal assistance, However It can be a demanding job depending on the clients needs or requirements. And, it can also be very satisfying and rewarding. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. please note that these tasks/responsibilities are all possible, but not the case with every client.
Responsibilities
Help clients take prescribed medication
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

Help clients with physical therapy exercises

Our Prescott location is seeking Program Assistants focused on delivering the highest quality programming and personal care for each man and woman we serve.

To be successful in this environment having experience working with men and women with developmental disabilities is a plus but not essential.

We have a position at our group home for an awake at night direct care worker, This position is from 10pm to 6am monday through friday days and times could be shifted slightly. This position will entail checking in on the members on arival, maybe some light housekeeping and/or preperation for the members following day, ensuring the members are attended to during the night if they should awake, and getting them up and going in the morning if that day calls for it. He/she should have exceptional experience and abilities in self-initiation, assessment, organization, communication, computer utilization, interpersonal relationships, supervision, teamwork, public relations and creative problem solving. He/she should possess personal character traits of trust, honesty, tolerance, gentleness, good humor, flexibility, generosity, patience, faithfulness, and open-mindedness. Finally, he/she should have a strong desire to assume the responsibilities of the job, including: 1) Understanding that problems and challenges may be expected on a daily basis; 2) That the business is a small business that seeks to function and fulfill its mission in new, non-traditional, innovative and creative ways that are of greater benefit to all concerned individuals and parties; 3) That he/she is an integral part of an organizational team that must work together on a cooperative basis; 4) That “working hours” are dictated by fulfillment of position responsibilities more than by clock hours; and 5) That this is a position of opportunity as well as of responsibility, where “success” will depend in large part upon the individual’s sense of entrepreneurial spirit, or willingness to exercise independence, freedom, and to take risks in trying new things in lieu of always choosing safe and secure but unimaginative courses of action.

Professional Relations, Goodwill, and Marketing: Development, implementation and oversight of professional relations and marketing actions and activities promoting business goodwill and new DD client acquisition with appropriate governmental bodies, professional organizations, healthcare providers and facilities, consumer organizations, clients, DCWs and the public at large.

*Staff and manage all HCBS services for all DD members and their respective caregivers.
