AHCCCS OIFA Community Events in October

The AHCCCS Office of Individual and Family Affairs (OIFA) holds many community meetings each month to help members, families, and stakeholders learn about programs and initiatives, and to solicit feedback. We ask you to share this information with your patients, clients, families, and stakeholders so they can better understand Arizona’s Medicaid services and how to find community resources and tools.
Jacobs Law Training

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Foster families, adoptive families, behavioral health professionals, former foster youth, and families interested in foster and adoption.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: This training covers an overview of the law (Arizona House Bill 2442), a review and use of the DCS Placement Packet, legal rights and protections, and covered services.

Community Health Worker/Community Health Representative Informative Session

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: AHCCCS is preparing a State Plan Amendment (SPA) to add community health worker services to the state's Medicaid program. During this forum, we will discuss the scope of the Medicaid Community Health Worker service, reimbursement, and related considerations.

Trained peer support specialists are available to provide support if you need it. These warm lines are available to all Arizonans age 18 and over. Peer support specialists have lived experience. They have been through tough times. They are trained to listen and support callers.

The Family Involvement Center offers a warm line for family members. They offer support to family members that deal with behavioral health challenges. This service is also available at no cost.

Crisis Services
If you, a family member, or a friend have a mental health emergency, it is important that you seek help right away. Trained crisis staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help over the phone. The Crisis lines are free, confidential, and open to anyone who needs help. For medical, police and fire emergency situations, always call 911.

Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) are crimes. Report fraud, waste, and abuse right away. You will not get in trouble or lose services if you report any suspected fraud, waste, or abuse.
You can report FWA to DDD:
