At Thundermaker Wellness, we honor African American History Month with gratitude and intention. Black communities have shaped movements for justice, healing, and liberation across generations, and their leadership continues to guide the work we do today.

We stand with our allies, uplift our Afro‑Indigenous relatives, and recognize the shared histories that connect our paths toward wellness. In our recovery program, we center culture, community, and the teachings that remind us healing is collective.
This month and every month, we commit to listening, learning, and showing up for one another in recovery and in life.

Expanding access to care is one of the most important steps we can take for our relatives. Thundermaker Wellness is now accepting Cigna, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare, making it easier for Native people and all our community members to receive the support they deserve. If you have questions about coverage or services, reach out through our website or give us a call — we’re here to help every step of the way.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We reflect on the deep connections between Native American communities and the African-American community, rooted in shared advocacy, resilience, and standing together in the fight for justice.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. didn’t stand for just one group of people; he stood for all of us.

His vision reminds us that our struggles are intertwined and that justice anywhere strengthens justice everywhere. As we continue to uplift one another, we move closer to the beloved community he imagined.

From all of here at Thundermaker- Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
