✨ You’re Invited! Clay Art Invitational — A First Ever Collaboration
We’re thrilled to announce the very first partnership between The Mud Makers and The Art Hive Foundation—a celebration of clay, creativity, and the vibrant art community of Yavapai County.
This invitational brings together an inspiring lineup of local clay artists, including beloved teachers, exhibitors, and community contributors whose work and legacy continue to shape our creative landscape. Some are still actively creating; others have stepped back from working in clay—but all have left an indelible mark we’re honored to uplift.
🎨 Opening Night Highlights
At the Hive Art Gallery—long known for showcasing diverse artistic expression—we’re adding something special:
Live clay demonstrations in wheel throwing, hand‑building, and coiling taking place in the back gallery area. These demonstrations offer guests a behind‑the‑scenes look at the creative process, allowing viewers to observe the artistry, skill, and rhythm of working with clay up close.
While the demos are not interactive, they provide a rare opportunity to witness techniques in action and deepen appreciation for the craft.
Together, we’re keeping the spirit of “playing in the mud” alive—one artist, one moment, one masterpiece at a time.
