Central Aroostook Association

Central Aroostook Association We provide people in our programs the necessary support to reach their highest level of personal development. Welcome! Richard, Executive Director

Central Aroostook Association has proudly been serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1959. This amazing association was founded by parents who believed that their sons and daughters deserved to be educated, employed, and live in their own communities. Through a dedicated Board of Directors and supportive staff, our mission has continued since its inception. The association has grown from one program and is now supporting people in eight different programs. We hope that you enjoy surfing through our website. - Stephen D.

At Central Aroostook Association we feel that it is important to recognize staff who embrace the BELIEVE core values and apply them to their work every day. We are pleased to recognize staff members who embody what BELIEVE is about. These individuals give 100% to their job, serve as positive role models for their peers, and enhance the lives of the individuals they work with.

This month, we are proud to recognize Madison Miller as our October BELIEVE Award recipient, honoring her exceptional dedication to children, families, and her team.
Madison’s journey with CAA began more than a year and a half ago as a BHP through Children's Services. From the very beginning, she demonstrated a rare combination of empathy, professionalism, and drive. Families consistently felt supported by her steady presence and heartfelt approach to care. In her role, she became known for going above and beyond showing up for the children and families she served in ways that truly made a difference. Four months ago, Madison stepped into her new position as Children’s Services Assistant Supervisor, where she has continued to shine. Transitioning from direct service to leadership, she has carried forward the same compassion and commitment that defined her work as a BHP. Her team describes her as a mentor who leads by example, offering guidance, encouragement, and genuine care. Madison fosters an environment of trust and growth, helping others reach their fullest potential.

Madison exemplifies the BELIEVE philosophy that drives everything we do at Central Aroostook Association. In addition to her leadership within CAA, Madison is pursuing her master's in social work through the University of Maine, continuing to expand her knowledge and skills in service of others. Her passion for learning and growth reflects her deep belief in the importance of lifelong development, both personally and professionally. Each day, Madison demonstrates what it means to BELIEVE; to believe in people, in progress, and in the power of compassion. Her contributions strengthen not only our Children’s Services team but the broader mission of Central Aroostook Association.

Please join us in celebrating Madison Miller for her remarkable achievements, leadership, and heart. She embodies the spirit of BELIEVE, reminding us of all that when we lead with compassion and purpose, we create lasting change in the lives of others.

Congratulations, Madison! Your dedication inspires us all.
