Did you know you can become an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) with an initial 40 hour course? These courses are normally held in the evening or hybrid style to work with busy lifestyles. Becoming an EMR is a great way to start out your career in Emergency Medical Services. Today, the Minnesota Office of Emergency Medical Services thanks every EMT, AEMT, paramedic, medical director, dispatcher, and first responder keeping rural communities safe—often with fewer resources but never with less commitment.

Have you ever considered serving in your community? Now is the time!

Preston Emergency Service is currently looking for individuals willing to become an EMT or EMR and join our crew.

Preston EMS provides services to the cities of Preston, Lanesboro, Fountain, Whalan and 12 surrounding townships, with the primary station located in Preston with 2 ambulances and a substation in Lanesboro with 1 ambulance.

Volunteers are compensated for responding to calls and are eligible for other benefits as well.

The EMT training program gives you all the skills necessary and allows you to obtain an Emergency Medical Technician licensure and the EMR program an Emergency Medical Responder. *No prior medical experience necessary*
