According to the "Survivors and Substance Abuse" report by the Battered Women's Justice Project (BWJP) women with a recent history of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) had nearly six times the risk of problematic alcohol use compared to women with no IPV history.

Castleview Hospital's StepOne Service was honored to partner with USARA - Price - Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness for this year's 2025 Recovery Day. The celebration of individuals in recovery, while openly discussing recovery, is a powerful experience. We appreciate the collaboration of our local and external resources, which made this event possible and allowed us to celebrate those in recovery, educate those still struggling with Substance use disorder, and support families who have come together through recovery. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate something so near and dear to our hearts RECOVERY. A big thank you to Get Your Smoke On who is always willing to come and participate and feed all of us at all of our events!
