🌸 Bloom Women’s Health – Women Who Bloom: March Spotlight 🌸

This International Women’s Month, Bloom Women’s Health is proud to launch our Women Who Bloom spotlight — celebrating women who help others grow and flourish while continuing to grow and flourish themselves.

Our first spotlight honors Chelsey Warburton and Morgan Warburton Nelson, two remarkable women whose leadership, dedication, and passion have left an incredible mark on student-athletes and our community.

Chelsey has led USU Eastern Women’s Basketball to historic success, including a 24–6 record — the best single season in program history — and a Top 15 national ranking, while also helping student-athletes excel academically with multiple Top 5 national team GPAs. Today she continues to mentor and lead as Assistant Athletic Director of Internal Operations.

Morgan has been an essential part of the program’s success on and off the court — from serving on the University of Utah Women’s Basketball coaching staff to her role supporting the USU Eastern athletic department. A former Mountain West Conference Player of the Year, WNBA draft pick, and international professional athlete, she now continues to inspire the next generation while raising her family here in our community.

Together, these sisters embody what it means to Bloom — lifting others, building opportunity, and showing young women what’s possible through hard work, heart, and leadership.

🌷 Thank you, Chelsey and Morgan, for helping our community grow.

Winter + pregnancy/postpartum hormones = the perfect storm for dry, itchy, sensitive skin. ❄️

Here’s what’s going on (and how to soothe it):

🔍 Why Skin Changes More in Winter:

Lower estrogen levels during postpartum can reduce natural hydration.

Pregnancy hormones can make skin extra sensitive — winter air makes it worse.

Cold temps + indoor heating strip moisture fast.

Less sunlight = slower skin barrier repair.

More hand-washing during cold/flu season = more irritation.

đź’— Simple Ways to Help:

Moisturize right after showering (the “3-minute rule”).

Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser.

Add a humidifier at night.

Drink water even when you don’t feel thirsty.

Wear gloves outside to protect hands.

🌸 Bloom Reminder:
You’re not doing anything wrong — your skin is just responding to major hormonal shifts + winter weather. If your symptoms are severe, we’re always here to help. 💗
