✨ Hi, I’m Rachel. ✨
(New owner of Barefoot Studios Aesthetic & Wellness)
For some of you, I’ve had the honor of caring for your skin already. For others, I may be a new face , so I wanted to officially introduce myself.
At 15 years old, I worked at a spa as a front desk receptionist. I had no idea at the time that I was stepping into the industry that would quietly steal my heart. I fell in love with the atmosphere, the transformation, the confidence clients felt when they left. I even toured esthetics schools back then… but life had a different plan first.
Then one day, my now husband walked into the spa to meet me — and the rest is history. 🤍
Becoming a mom was always my biggest dream. When we were pregnant with our first baby, I knew without a doubt that staying home with her was exactly where I was meant to be. We got married, welcomed three beautiful children, and I was overjoyed to be home raising them during those early years.
In 2017, Sergina — my “work mom,” mentor, friend, and someone who’s been part of my life since I was a teenager — asked if I wanted to work a couple “mommy hours.” Just a little break and some fun money. I started helping at her front desk.
In 2019, when my babies were all in school, I said the words: “I’m ready.”
We began the apprenticeship program together. I had the best teacher — and truly, that’s a whole story on its own. She believed in me before I fully believed in myself. Even through the challenges of the COVID year, I pushed through, passed my boards, and became a licensed esthetician.
And now… here we are.
I didn’t create the name Barefoot.
But I kept it for a reason.
Because to me, Barefoot means:
• Family
• Heart
• Trust
• Rooted care
• Loving hard
• Helping people feel confident in their own skin
It means digging deeper — not just treating the surface, but helping you feel better in your body, in your skin, and in what you see in the mirror.
This has never just been about services.
It’s about connection. It’s about comfort. It’s about creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and real.
I am so incredibly honored by the support you’ve shown me during this transition. Your trust means more than you will ever know.
