Top 10 reasons to apply Ag Lime to your fields in the Fall:
10 – There’s more time available for lime applications in the fall than in the spring.
9 – Fine ag lime needs about one full year to be fully activated into the soil.
8 – Coarse ag Lime needs about two full years to be fully activated into the soil. (Thus, spring applications delay the process.)
7 – Ag lime is drier in the fall. “You don’t pay for water weight,” Peterson said. Fields are dry, and roads are unrestricted, too.
6 – Lime increases the availability of nutrients to the plant.
5 – Lime enhances the effectiveness of some herbicides.
4 – It improves the physical and biological properties of the soil.
3 – Ag lime is critical to achieving proper soil pH. “It’s just as important as a proper fertilizer nutrient plan,” Peterson said.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Over the Road Commercial Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves long-distance transportation of goods using various types of trucks, including flatbeds, and tankers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively while ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer units for long-haul routes across various distances.
Load and unload freight efficiently and safely, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as per DOT regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and any issues encountered on the road.
Utilize manual transmission when required for specific loads or driving conditions.
Assist in the operation of specialized vehicles such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks when necessary.
