Our committee enjoys reading through every nomination that we receive, but it’s always extra special to receive one from a resident, like the one that recognizes our December Employee of the Month, Kristie Blankenship.

Kristie is a night-shift CNA who is valued by both residents and team members. One resident in particular took the time to write out this thoughtful nomination:
“I want to nominate Kristie Blankenship for Employee of the Month for the month of December. She is always there very quickly when I hit the red button for help. If she’s really busy helping someone, she always asks someone else to come help me. I think she is deserving of this nomination.”
It’s more than Kristie’s speedy responses that warrant this recognition, it’s her caring heart and steadfast attentiveness that cause her to stand out. We are thankful for her dedication to our residents.

Of all of the wonderful and deserving nominations that are submitted, it always carries a little extra weight when it comes from a resident or a resident’s family member. If you have a loved one at PHCC and would like to nominate a staff member for Employee of the Month, Responsible Parties of our residents can submit feedback through our online Resident Portal or submissions can be emailed to cassie.evans@phcconline.org. All nominations are reviewed and presented for committee consideration.

Today is designated as National Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) Day by the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals. It’s the perfect occasion for us to express our appreciation for the two leaders of our Dietary Department - our CDMs, Dedra Nguyen and Renea Delp. 🍽️

Dedra is the Manager of our Dietary department. She oversees our Dietary team members and the department’s many moving parts. She doesn't bat an eye at hard work and gives her all each day. She takes on many extra responsibilities to help with community events, just one of which being her vital role in the Veterans Breakfast and Stand Down Event each year. Dedra manages her team well and always puts our residents' needs at the forefront of what she does.

Being an individual of many talents, Renea has worked in a few different capacities here at PHCC over many years. She brings vast knowledge and experience to her role and is here always willing to serve our residents and staff in any way she can. Renea also takes on extra tasks to help and has a dedication not often found.

Happy CDM Day, Dedra and Renea! We are so grateful for all you do.

We are extremely grateful to our community for allowing us to serve it for over four decades. Without you, this opportunity to grow wouldn’t be possible.

The building has been working at capacity since the COVID era and is in dire need of an expansion

Princeton Health Care Center is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class. The class, training materials, and fee for the certification test are all free.

▪️The course will begin in January.
▪️Class will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a duration of six weeks.
▪️All interested applicants must apply in person at Princeton Health Care Center.
▪️All applications MUST include at least two references with complete addresses and phone numbers.
▪️Drug tests and criminal background checks are required.

Our annual Men’s Social is always a HIT! 🙌

We are honored to have 11 Veterans who call Princeton Health Care Center home, and caring for them is a privilege not taken lightly.

We can never thank them enough for the sacrifices they made in serving our country. They represent different branches of the military, but they all shared the same selfless attitude and willingness to fight for their American brothers and sisters.

Happy Veterans Day to all Veterans! 🇺🇸
We appreciate you, and you should hear about that appreciation more than just on this day each year. Our many freedoms are all thanks to you.

We also want to thank all who contributed to our ceremony today, from our own team members to friends from Amedisys Hospice, and students and Key Club members from Princeton Senior High School who contributed heartfelt cards. We are grateful for each person who participated in making sure our Veterans were recognized and honored today.
