⚔️ THE ANVIL: REAL LIFE APPLICATION ⚔️

Since we are out of the building again today due to weather, we wanted to highlight some service instead of our normal Anvil post. Faith isn't just about what happens in the chapel, it's about what you do when you leave there.

A few weeks ago, Coach Boothe took three of our students out for a boots-on-the-ground mission. Together, they visited Princeton Towers and Princeton Healthcare Center and distributed over 100 Gospel tracts to the residents there.

At MCA, we are striving to teach our Knights not just "head knowledge" about Christ, but to equip and encourage them to share the love of Christ.

This is what discipleship looks like in the real world. Great job, Knights!

We want to give one last shout out to this incredible group of ladies who make sure our residents have tons of fun and stay as busy and engaged as they want to be! 🎉 For Activities Week last week, they enjoyed games, gifts and small tokens of appreciation, a cookie cake, sweet treats, and some delicious lunches.

We truly can’t thank them enough. They are so much of what makes PHCC a home rather than just a facility. 🏡🤍

We are proud to recognize Stacy Morrison as our February , and the praise from both coworkers and families truly says it all.

Stacy consistently goes above and beyond for our residents and our team. One nomination from a coworker said: “Stacy is always willing to pick up extra shifts and/ or stay over whenever needed. Stacy always completes her documentation and calls POAs. In fact, Stacy also volunteers to call POAs for other hallways when those nurses are busy. She is a great team player and for that, I feel she needs recognition.”

Another said: “I have worked with a lot of nurses and I absolutely love working with Stacy! She is always so good to the residents. She is patient, kind and always has a soft, caring demeanor.
She is an absolute joy to work with! She does her job, volunteers to help others, willing to come in early and stay late. She deserves a nomination and so much more.”

Perhaps most meaningful is the appreciation shared by a resident’s family, who praised Stacy, and our entire team, in this nomination: “Stacy has been amazing with my mom. Actually I would like to thank everyone who has helped with my mom, I'm just not very good with names. This place has changed my whole family mindset on these types of facilities. My family in Florida couldn't get over how clean and the care the residents get. Thank you so much, you guys are amazing.” This feedback right here is why we do what we do, and that trust and gratitude reflects the heart of the work Stacy and other team members do every day. 💙

It’s Activity Professionals Week, and we want to express our gratitude for our uplifting, hardworking, encouraging, and fun-loving Activity Professionals! 💃

The national theme this year is "Beyond the Ordinary: Everyday Superheroes", and superheroes they are! 🦸‍♂️ They are always planning outings, playing games, making crafts, organizing performances, orchestrating parties and celebrations, and so much more. There is a lot of planning and preparation required in their roles, but they make sure all of the activity programming runs smoothly and they have a knack for pivoting quickly to make sure the fun goes on if a hiccup arises. Above all, they vastly enhance the quality of life of our residents and get to know each one personally. We cannot adequately express our gratitude for all they do.

Laughter filled the room during our indoor snowball fight on Friday! ❄️

Residents got the chance to joyfully pelt staff with “snowballs” without ever enduring the cold, and then followed it up with hot chocolate complete with all the cozy toppings. ☕️
