In Loving Memory

Gerald "Jerry" Vickrey passed away on March 12, 2026, at his home in Eddyville, at the age of 82. He was born on June 10, 1943, in Lyon County to his late parents Leslie and Maxine Atwood Vickrey in Lyon County, KY.

Jerry was a skilled auto body repairman whose hands were as adept at restoring cars as they were at getting life from the soil of his beloved vegetable garden. His detail to repairing tractors, mowers, and cars was applied to every aspect of his life. Jerry's love for c**n hunting, playing the guitar, and spending time with his family made his life richer.

A devoted member of the Jehovah's Witnesses community in Blackhawk, KY, Jerry's faith was a source of strength and comfort to him.

Jerry's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his daughters, Janet (Gregg) Stafford of Eddyville, and Jennifer Sumner of Eddyville; his son, Jeff Vickrey of Fredonia, KY; his sisters, Catherine Cardin of Dawson Springs, KY, and Donna Knoth of Marion, KY; grandchildren, Haley Sumner, Colby East, Helen (Morgan) Vickrey, Justen DeRousse, Teriann (Mason) Kellams, Amber Stafford, Matt Stafford, and Jon (Johnna) Stafford; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in by his beloved wife of 60 years, Judy Scott Vickrey; his sisters, Linda Marie Vickrey and Joyce Sinclair; and his brothers, Larry, Billy, Jim, Dan, and Joe Vickrey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM Princeton Memorial Gardens with Eddy Miniard officiating.

In Loving Memory

Linda Weekes, passed away at the age of 70 on March 10, 2026, at the Ray Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY. She was born on April 5, 1955, in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Delmer Elo and Pauline Elizabeth Baxter Burris.

Known for her loving heart and intelligent mind, Linda was a cherished member of the Blue Spring Baptist Church community. She lived her life with great faith in the Lord. Her career as a cosmetologist was marked by the careful attention that she devoted to every aspect of her life. Her creativity was expressed in the ceramics that she fashioned, along with her love of all animals, her flower gardens, the great outdoors, and fishing with her life partner, Charlie Bratcher, which made her life complete. Linda was a loving mom, grandmother, and sister to not only her biological family but to all who needed her, especially her neighbors.

Linda's spirit of family and love is carried on through her beloved daughters, Lisa McIntyre of Eddyville, KY, and Pamela McIntyre of West Plains, Missouri, and her step-son, Dusty Weekes of Portland, OR. She delighted in the company of her siblings: brother, Ralph (Ann) Burris Goben of Fowler, IN, Virginia "Gigi" (Brent) of Seymour, IN, Carol (Steve) Metzinger of Attica, IN, Annette (Dan) Loughry of Oxford, IN and Lynette Reece) Kidd of New Port, NC. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Brandon Meyers, Searra Hansler, Michaela McIntyre, Brittini Meyers, Hayley Ford, Jay Rushing, and Hayden McIntyre, as well as her great-grandchildren, who were a continuous source of joy in her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald "Jerry" Ray McIntyre; her second husband, John F. Weekes; and her brother, Robert Burris.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Therese Ann Falder, 76, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, while traveling in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She was born on January 22, 1950, in Wisconsin to her late parents, Edward and Mary (Ryan) Cribben. Therese grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin, before moving to San Diego, California, where she married her husband, John, at the North Island Naval Air Station. After his service concluded, she and her husband moved to Mayfield, Kentucky, before eventually settling in Princeton, where they expanded the family business by opening Falders Farm, Home and Industry Supply in 1983. Therese was a natural cook and baker who also loved gardening and traveling, especially when it meant spending time with her grandchildren. She faithfully served for many years on the board of Caldwell County Youth, Inc. and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Therese is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Falder; daughter, Emily (Orlan) Foster of Glenwood, IN; two sons, Chris (Christy) Falder of Mayfield, Aaron (Margie) Falder of Eddyville; three sisters, JoAnna Ryder, Barbara Schwartz, Kate (Mike) Hohenstein, all of Wisconsin; brother, Pat Cribben of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Orlan (OP) Foster, Stella Foster, Silas Foster, Tyler Falder, Olivia Jackson, Isaiah Jackson, Kaylee Tucker, Colby Walker; and three great-grandchildren, Nora Lancaster, Hudson Walker, Cade Falder.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Laurie Coyne, Jeanne Howard; one brother, Gerard Cribben.

Memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Brad Whistle officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Louise Baker, age 94, of Madisonville, formerly of Princeton, passed away March 8, 2026 at her daughter's home.

Louise was born June 30, 1931 to the late Carl Henderson Hunt and Vera Mae Cook Hunt Pruitt. She was a 76 year member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Clark of Madisonville and Vera Ellen Poindexter of Princeton; sons, Carl (Benita) Baker of Paducah and Charles (Nancy) Baker of Texas; sister, Carrole Joe White of Indiana; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jane Baker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rayburn Patrick Baker and son, William David Baker.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Morgan's Funeral Home.

Alice Faye Kirkwood, 85, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Caldwell Medical Center.

She was born on November 3, 1940, in Earlington, Kentucky, to her late parents, Timothy Cook "T.C." and Onnie Kate (Melton) Flynn. After graduating from high school, Alice and her husband began their life together in Hopkinsville and lived in several communities, including Morganfield, and Paducah, before making their home in Princeton in 1967. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church and also spent several years attending Calvary Baptist Church. Alice was a faithful woman who took great pride in caring for her home and keeping it neat and welcoming.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Pat K. Kirkwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alan Kirkwood; two sisters, Dean Ashby and Nancy Cross; and one brother, Roy Flynn.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, with Randy Meeks officiating.

Lester Dane Watson, 85, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born on June 4, 1940, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, to his late parents, Lilliard F. and Lillian N. (Sons) Watson. Lester faithfully served the Lord in pastoral ministry for six decades, pastoring churches from 1965 until 2025 across Caldwell, Lyon, Trigg, Crittenden, Livingston, and Hopkins Counties. Throughout those years, he was known for his steady faith, servant’s heart, and genuine love for the people he ministered to. He was actively involved in the work of the church beyond the pulpit, serving on numerous committees within the Caldwell-Lyon Baptist Association, Little River Baptist Association, Ohio River Baptist Association, and the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Lester also had a heart for missions, making trips to Perth and Derby, Australia, and to Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he joyfully shared the gospel and served alongside fellow believers. Lester was especially passionate about supporting the residents of Bright Life Farms, where he faithfully volunteered and served as a member of the Board of Directors.

In addition to his pastoral calling, Lester worked many years bi-vocationally as a soil conservationist, semi-truck driver, John Deere mechanic, and held positions with Fredonia Valley Enterprises and Grinnell. He was also highly skilled in carpentry and cabinetry work, which became one of his primary occupations, along with dozer and backhoe excavation. When he wasn’t working or serving in ministry, Lester enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, gardening, working on the farm, cheering for UK basketball, and making summertime visits to Belew’s Dairy Bar in Aurora for one of his favorite meals.

Lester is survived by his two daughters, Cindy (James) Hamby of Caldwell County, Susan (Tommy) Ray of Caldwell County; son, Ricky (Elizabeth) Watson of Lyon County; three grandchildren, Bryant (Courtney) Hamby of Madison, AL, Duke (Lauren) Ray of Caldwell County, Coy (Tiffany) Ray of Caldwell County; ten great-grandchildren, Ellie and Cole Hamby, Jackson, Everett, Kenneth, Rose Lynn and William Ray, Hunter, Mason and Kenzie Ray; and special friend, JoAnn Dalton of Caldwell County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha L. (Ordway) Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Sivells officiating with Phil Van Hooser assisting. Burial will follow in Morse Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Taylor Morgan Phelps, age 33, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Fredonia, passed away March 2, 2026 in Nashville, TN.

Taylor was born January 19, 1993 to Melanie Lynn Phelps (Wes) Oden of Fredonia. Taylor was a devoted husband, loving father, and a loyal friend to many. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family. Taylor found great joy in the outdoors, especially duck and deer hunting and fishing, where he made countless memories with family and friends. He was a proud member of the Joppa Masonic Lodge and the Fredonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church, communities that meant a great deal to him. Taylor had a love of motorcycle riding and his greatest joy was spending time with his children-whether searching for seashells along the shore or playing sports together, they were moments that meant the world to him and to his family.Taylor will be remembered for his steady presence, generous heart, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His legacy lives on in the family and friends who were blessed to know him.

Taylor is survived by his adored wife, Ariel Ann Drish Phelps of Franklin, TN; daughter, Khloe Phelps of Franklin, TN; son, Jake Phelps of Franklin, TN; sister, Summer Martin of Fredonia; step-sister, Lindsie Oden of Fredonia; like a brother, Dustin (Krista) Parr of Eddyville; step-father, Eric Martin of Eddyville; maternal grandparents, Darrel "Buzzy" and Faye Phelps of Fredonia; several aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, cousins.

Gregory McRae Bullock, 57, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Dunn, North Carolina, on February 21, 1969, to his late parents, Mack Ray Garland and Diana Carolyn Mizelle Bullock. Born and raised in North Carolina, he lived there most of his life before moving to Princeton in 2009.

Gregory was a caring man who would help anyone in need. He took great pride in caring for his granddaughter, Alissa, who brought him immense joy. He proudly served in the United States Army as a combat engineer during Desert Storm and later became disabled as a result of his service. Gregory had a passion for motorcycles, especially Harleys.

Gregory is survived by two sons, Spencer "Brock" Bullock, Thurston "Thatch" Bullock, both of North Carolina; granddaughter, Alissa Bullock of Princeton; and special friends, Frankie and Jane Wright and Familyof Princeton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Anne Bryan Bullock, and son, Jonathon Bullock.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with military honors.

IN LOVING MEMORY

Iris M. Proctor, 82, of Princeton, Kentucky, formerly of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.

She was born on June 29, 1943, in Crosbyton, Texas, to her late parents, Bedford Ray and Ruby Lena Fazier Manly. After marrying, she made her home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, where she lived for 60 years before she moved to Princeton, Kentucky, to live with her daughter five years ago.

For 47 years, Iris worked hanging wallpaper, a profession she truly loved. She took pride in her craft and treasured the many friendships she formed along the way. She was a member of the Assembly of God. She found great joy in horseback riding, cooking and canning vegetables she grew herself, and spending quiet hours reading, sewing, and embroidering.

Iris is survived by her four daughters, Jo Anna (Kenny) Cox of Broken Arrow, OK, Leslie (Dr. James) Rushing of Princeton, Lorinda Faye (Charlie) Hernandez of Clarksville, TN, Darla Jo (Joe) Morgan of Sallisaw, OK; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Iris is preceded in death by her sister, Merel Gordan; four brothers, Charles R., Leslie R., Frank R., and Johnny R. Manly; and one grandson.

Burial will be held in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburn, Texas at a later date.

Judy Ann Talbert Long, 80, of Dawson Springs, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at her home.

She was born on December 8, 1945, in Springfield, Tennessee, to her late parents, George and Mary Elizabeth Talbert. Judy worked as a farmer and later at Flynn’s Sewing Factory. She was a faithful member of Red River Assembly of God. She found joy in growing tomatoes and marigolds, making homemade dog food, and feeding hummingbirds. Judy cherished simple moments, morning coffee on the front porch with her daughter, Janie; trips to Walmart with her granddaughter, Leslie; cooking for her son-in-law, Terry; and long talks with her sister-in-law, Vicki, and granddaughter, Jennifer. She was the rock of her family and never met a stranger.

Judy is survived by her two daughters, Martha Long of Bowling Green, Janie (Terry) Dearing of Dawson Springs; one son, Robert Long of Russelville; sister, Nell Rawls of Springfield, TN; five grandchildren, Leslie Long, Jessica Martin, Jennifer Martin, Joanna Long-Flener, Jasmine Martin; three great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Adonnis, Atlas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Randy Talbert; two sisters, Joyce Mink, Gara Farmer; four brothers, Joe, Billy, Bobby, and Jerry Talbert.

Richard "Eddy" Cummins, 79, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Lamasco, Kentucky, on July 22, 1946, to his late parents, Dale Woodson and Mildred "Lyzetta" Prince Cummins. Eddy was a veteran of the United States Army, an avid bird hunter and a produce salesman. Eddy spent the majority of his life as a member of Lewistown Christian Church and more recently, attended Donaldson Baptist Church. In addition to his farming, he worked as a steel mill worker for over 34 years.

Eddy is survived by his two sons, Eric Cummins of Princeton, Heath (Dana) Cummins of Caldwell County; one sister, Ginger McClure of Lyon County; six grandchildren, Audree, Tabor, Madux, Joshua (JonRenee), Jordan, Kasie; and six great-grandchildren, Daylin, Gennix, Kalius, Limoni, Junie Kaye, Josie Lynn, and one more on the way; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sue Clayton Cummins; sister, Joette Martin; and brother, Freddy Cummins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Morgan's Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Scarberry Cemetery in Caldwell County.

In Loving Memory...

Dennis E. Porter, 66, of Eddyville, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.

He was born on November 4, 1959, in Caldwell County, Kentucky, to his late parents, Charles Edward and Lillian McAllister Porter. He dedicated more than twenty years of service as a correctional officer at the Kentucky State Penitentiary, where most called him "Porter." He attended Cedar Bluff and was a devoted fan of Caldwell County High School football. Dennis rarely missed a game until his health no longer allowed him to attend. He also cheered on the University of Kentucky and enjoyed watching nearly every sport he could, especially the Little League World Series.

Above all, Dennis was a family man. He was deeply loved and absolutely crazy about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him his greatest joy.

Porter was survived by his two sons, Kyle (Dawn) Porter of Princeton, Justin (Amber) Porter of Metropolis, IL; sister, Penny Jo Porter of Princeton; four grandchildren, Carlin Porter of Princeton, Braden (Lexi) Porter, Joseph Porter, and Lillian Porter, all of Metropolis, IL; two great-grandchildren, Augustus Porter, Wrenleigh Porter.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Pool Cemetery with Bro. Mark Faughn officiating.
