Check out how God is moving in Stacy's life👇

"Hello, my name is Stacy. I am 48 years old. I’ve struggled with addiction, abusive relationships, and mental health issues for the last 30 years. Life surely hasn’t been easy. I knew of God, but I didn’t follow Him. I didn’t know much about the Bible. After doing some praying last year God put it in my heart to go into a detox, so I did. That was August 1, 2025. From there I went to a Christian rehabilitation center. I stayed 4 ½ months and graduated. I came out the same way I went in: mean, bitter, and angry. So I went to another center because I didn’t “feel ready.” I stayed 32 days and graduated. I made arrangements to go to another facility to help me get back on my feet. God changed those plans for me. I was offered the opportunity to come to Teen Challenge, so with prayer I decided to come. It is the best decision I have ever made. Today life is very different. God is changing me. I submit to God each and every day. I allow Him to guide me. I no longer “feel” the need to try to control my life. I’ve rededicated my life to Jesus. I’ve been baptized. My goal in life is to serve God. I don’t have to worry anymore. I trust in God and I have faith that no matter what I face, He is with me and I will be ok. I can’t picture life without God in it. I no longer need medicine to mask my feelings because I am being healed by God. "

It was early on the morning of October 3, 2002 that the police busted in the door to my home with a battering ram. I had been without sleep for multiple days. This was my third and final arrest for dealing and manufacturing m**hamphetamines. At times, I was using over $700 a day of m**h and manufacturing $5,000-$15,000 worth of m**h a week. My home was like a drive-thru window at McDonald’s.

The police took me to jail that day. I was facing 43 years in prison. I didn’t know Jesus. I was broken, hopeless, and felt like my life had no purpose. I sat in jail for 7 ½ months before I was allowed to enter the Adult & Teen Challenge program. When I arrived, I was met at the doors with love. There was no judgment, but an empowering grace to overcome my life controlling issues. Adult & Teen Challenge taught me what it was like to have an authentic relationship with God. They taught me how to walk and talk with Jesus. Today, I have an undergrad degree in biblical studies, and two master’s degrees in theological studies. I’ve been in ministry for over 15 years, have served as a lead pastor for the past seven years, and now God has called my family to plant a brand new church in Bossier City, Louisiana, called Purpose Church. I am married with two kids and three chocolate labs. Since walking onto the Training Center campus, I haven’t touched another drug or drank a drop of alcohol, and I’m still singing victory in Jesus.
