Last night’s Christmas party was everything we needed — laughter, creativity, and our very own Bob Ross themed paint night at Northwind Art Studio in Redmond.

Wearing your contacts even just one day longer than recommended can actually starve your eyes of oxygen — leading to painful inflammation, irritation, or even permanent scarring.

Contacts are designed to be worn for exactly the number of days prescribed. After that, their surface begins to break down, trapping bacteria and reducing oxygen flow to the eye.

🚫 “Just one more day” is never worth the risk.
✅ Stick to your replacement schedule — 2 weeks means 2 weeks, 30 days means 30 days.

Our Doctors

Ochoco Vision Source has been providing full scope eyecare to Central Oregon since 1981.

Dr. Allan Hudson graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1981. He started practice in Redmond that year and has offered Family Eye Care and Surgical Co-Management services. Since that time he has been very active in the profession. Dr. Hudson served on the Oregon Optometric Association Board from 1987 to 1993. He was honored as “Young Optometrist of the Year” in 1985. He was president in 1992. He has lectured as well, being a keynote speaker at national conferences.

Dr. Hudson was named “Optometrist of the Year” in 2007 by the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association.

Dr. Gretchen Chadwick graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1996. After serving three years in the Navy, Dr. Chadwick joined Dr. Hudson in 1999. Her post graduation certification includes a Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (F.A.A.O).

Dr. Chadwick moved to Powell Butte with her husband, Norm in 2001. They have two daughters, Grace and Lilly.

Dr. Kilah Atkinson joined our practice in January 2012. She graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology before going on to graduate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Atkinson earned several Letters of Excellence for her clinical work. She was raised in Redmond and she and her family are happy to call Central Oregon home again. Dr. Atkinson and her husband, Raun, enjoy spending time with their twins, Callie and Colben.

Dr. Audrey Brumley joined High Desert Vision Source in July 2013 after graduating from the University Of Houston College of Optometry. Originally from Salem, Dr. Brumley graduated from Oregon State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Dean’s List. Dr. Brumley had a specific focus on pediatric eye care, vision therapy and ocular disease management during optometry school and received the Excellence in Pediatrics Award from her university. In her spare time, Dr. Brumley enjoys her horses, and camping and hunting with her husband Chris and their children.
