If you can read this, you can save a life!

Cardiac arrest is when someone’s heart stops beating. They stop to breathe normally and lose consciousness within seconds. People die if no one is around to help.

The way to save someone’s life in this situation is to do 3 things:
1. Chest compressions (or ‘CPR’- at 100-120 beats per minute),
2. Call 911 (or your local Emergency services) and
3. If someone is around, have them bring a defibrillator to give an electric shock to the person.

This song essentially reiterates how to recognize a cardiac arrest and what to do if you see one. It’s recorded at 110 beats per minute which is the speed at which to do chest compressions.

Average ambulance response times in the US are about 7 minutes. For every minute that passes, neurologically intact survival decreases by 7-10%! - every minute that CPR is not done, we lose lives.

Every second counts!

The song just got released on Spotify. Other platforms soon to follow! The art work is by the brilliant Rhode Island-based Pakistani-American artist Mahnoor Hussain.
