Join us for the 12th Annual Richard Browning Team Trivia Night on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington.

This event honors the legacy of Dr. Richard Browning, who served as Chief of Anesthesia at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's for more than two decades. Dr. Browning was a dedicated physician, educator, and leader whose commitment to patient care and medical education left a lasting impact. Following his passing from pancreatic cancer in 2012, the Browning Cancer Research Fund was established to support innovative pediatric and adult cancer research in his honor. University Orthopedics, Inc. is proud to highlight the incredible work of Dr. Roman Hayda, Chief of Orthopedic Trauma at Rhode Island Hospital who continues to support medical teams on the front lines in Ukraine.

In a recent NBC 10 WJAR segment with Barbara Morse, Dr. Hayda shared how he and Ukrainian trauma surgeon Dr. Viktor Rokutov are working together to treat complex war-related injuries — often under extreme conditions and with limited resources. Their commitment to saving lives and advancing trauma care is nothing short of extraordinary.

AAHKS 2025 – Advancing Innovation in Arthroplasty

The Brown University Division of Adult Reconstruction and Arthroplasty is proud to share our continued presence and contributions at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons - AAHKS 2025 Annual Meeting in Dallas. This year highlights both our faculty leadership and research excellence, with Dr. Eric Cohen spearheaded a symposium on complex hip reconstruction that packed the room, and Dr. Valentin Antoci delivering a featured lecture on infection prevention. Three of our abstracts ranked among the Top 100 submissions out of thousands from an international participation.
