BMVT is a gentle and unique system of manual therapy, taught by a voice-specialized speech language pathologist and geared towards SLP’s. We focus on structural evaluation and treatment of the upper airway, voice and swallowing mechanisms.

BMVT integrates myofascial release, positional therapy, contract-relax, craniosacral, mobilization and visceral techniques. BMVT is a trauma informed approach that blends elements of somatic experiencing into manual speech and voice therapy.

Michele is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist with more than 30 years of experience. She started a holistic private practice in 2010 and has been teaching other SLP’s manual voice therapy since 2011.

We are thrilled to congratulate Erin Browning of Evolved Therapy for her BMVT Certification! Not only did she become certified this year, but she will also be working as a Teaching Assistant for all three levels of our next BMVT Workshops. Based in Massachusetts, Erin focuses on breathing, swallowing, and feeding with a myofunctional approach. We're grateful for you, Erin!

Excited to announce that Erin has completed her certification in BMVT. She has studied and practiced for the past year and a half to be able to bring this specific manual work to our clients.

Don’t let the name of the certification “voice therapy” fool you. There are benefits for voice disorders but also for those receiving myofunctional therapy, struggling with muscle tension or swallowing challenges.

With 2024 behind us, we're so very thankful for those who attended our BMVT workshops. Our very first Biodynamic Voice Therapy Level 3 group, pictured here, brought their unique experiences from their practices into the workshop, and challenged one another with questions, feedback, and new ways to integrate. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

In 2025, we look forward to sharing even more offerings with the extraordinary community of colleagues that are called to this work. Stay tuned in to this page for updates, and we encourage you to invite your fellow SLP's to follow along too!
