Dr. Cioe's smoking lab focuses on designing studies to help people with HIV reduce their risk of heart disease. Her studies specifically focus on helping people change behaviors to reduce or eliminate smoking, which is a major risk factor for heart disease. ia Cioe is an Associate Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the Brown University School of Public Health. She has been a certified nurse practitioner for over 20 years and focuses her clinical practice on primary care and HIV. Her research program is focused on health and wellness, to***co use, and heart disease.
