Supporting Ostomy Patients in Our Community

At University Gastroenterology, we’re proud to highlight a remarkable young person making a difference.

Meet Lucas Newton, a high school senior who underwent a colectomy earlier this year — a life-changing experience that inspired him to help others living with ostomies.

Lucas learned firsthand how essential — and expensive — ostomy supplies can be. Many patients in our community and across the country struggle to afford the $300–$600 in monthly costs for vital supplies such as pouches, skin barriers, and adhesives.

For his senior project, Lucas is partnering with Kindred Box , a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people in need access these supplies.

🩵 You can help make a difference.
Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to support those living with ostomies and ensure they have access to the supplies they need to live with dignity and comfort.

Every contribution — big or small — makes an impact.

Thank you, Lucas, for your compassion and advocacy for the ostomy community!
