The little things matter, and they really do add up. 🫶

When it comes to joy and happiness, there are so many things throughout the day that make a difference, and a lot of the time, they go unnoticed because it’s part of your normal routine. Your favorite afternoon snack, your pet greeting you when you come home from work, having the ability to exercise your body the way you want—all small things that help to bring joy. Without them, you would probably notice and miss it.

When you can, try and make note of the little things that bring you happiness, joy, or peace throughout the day. Appreciating and being grateful for the small things will help keep you in a happier, healthier state. When you can see the little joys around you, it makes a difference. 🤍

Kindness is something you will always be deserving of, especially from yourself. You know yourself better than anyone else. Listen to your body, and do your best to meet your needs. They matter—even when you’re busy, or when you haven’t been as productive as you would have liked. 🫶

Send the text or email. Make the phone call. Take time to reconnect. Will you regret trying? Probably not. Because you tried. You made the effort. But if you never try, if you don’t reach out…You never know, you may wish you had.

It isn’t always easy to be positive. There’s a lot going on in daily life, not to mention the rest of the world. It can be incredibly overwhelming. Still, don’t forget that you have a lot to look forward to yet. Think happy thoughts, as much as you can. 🫶

If you ever have trouble with that, consider saving this for later so you can come back to it any time you need a reminder.

Do you struggle with anxiety at night?

Sometimes our bodies aren’t tired when they should be, and if you’ve been feeling anxious lately, it could very well be anxiety that is causing the disruption in your sleep.

When you’re getting ready to go to bed, try and step away from anything that could be keeping you or your brain wired. Turn off the TV, stop running around trying to get things done. Let your mind rest, and give yourself time to slow down before you go to bed. Do an activity that helps you feel calm, perhaps something like journaling, or doing a few extra steps in your skincare routine.

The goal is to help regulate your body and mind, and in turn, your nervous system should begin to regulate better, which will help make it easier for you to fall asleep, and stay asleep. 😴 🫶

Life can get a little too loud sometimes. There’s so much to do, places to be–not to mention all the things happening in the world. It can all get to be too much at times.

If you’ve been feeling the weight a little more than usual lately, consider trying one of these activities to help cut through the noise a bit. There’s nothing wrong with getting your mind off of things for a little while. It isn’t selfish to slow down, or take care of your mental health. 🫶
