SPARK is a new statewide initiative bringing college students together to strengthen sexual health awareness, reduce stigma, and expand access to HIV prevention resources across Rhode Island campuses.

We are currently inviting students interested in public health, advocacy, education, or community leadership to join the founding cohort helping shape this exciting new initiative.

Run for a reason, for those affected by HIV.
Show up for someone who needs it. ❤️

For more than 35 years, Deoshore Haig has been a champion for children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in Rhode Island and this year we are proud to honor her with the Hope Harris Award. ❤️

Deoshore is an award-winning leader and a founding force behind the Family AIDS Center for Treatment (FACTS), helping expand HIV prevention, care, and education across the state. As an advocate, trainer, grant author, and educator, she has also shaped the next generation of HIV care professionals through Rhode Island’s Target HIV Case Management Certification Program and HIV Endorsement Specialty Course.

The Hope Harris Award is named in honor of Hope Harris, an AIDS Project Rhode Island board member whose passionate outreach in the African American community helped break down stigma and strengthen the fight against HIV. This award recognizes individuals whose dedication reflects that same spirit of service. Deoshore’s lifelong commitment to this work makes her an extraordinary and deserving honoree.

🎉 Join us at the AIDS Run/Walk for Life on May 2 as we celebrate Deoshore and stand together in the fight against HIV.

Every step helps support prevention, care, and advocacy for people living with and affected by HIV in our community.
