You might remember that the voting for the BEST Wieners Judges’ Choice award ended in a deadlock. Tonight we announce Sam’s New York System as the second co-winner!

Sam’s New York System, located in Warwick, RI, has been a family run business since 1968. While they are famous for their weiners, they have an extensive menu featuring fresh sandwiches, burgers, seafood and appetizers.

Congratulations to brothers Peter and George Xiarhos and the entire family for winning Judges’ Choice for BEST Wieners!

You can’t argue with their motto: “Best weiners in the state since 1968!”

The Inaugural WIENER FEST set out to settle once and for all the timeless debate of “Who has the BEST WIENERS in Rhode Island. Tonight we’re announcing the Judges’ Choice champions!

Our esteemed panel of judges traveled the state and sampled from the top 29 wiener joints in l’il Rhody. When the ballots were counted and recounted, 2 landmark restaurants stood deadlocked above the rest. It’s a TIE! Tomorrow we’ll announce the second spot, but tonight we’re honoring co-Judges’ Choice winners at !

Family owned since 1976, Cosmic Pizza Steak & Wieners is a Warwick landmark. They’re known for their pizza, grinders, and of course wieners!

Congratulations to Robert Zotti and the entire family!

RIP Judge Caprio

Rhode Island legend and Federal Hill icon Judge Frank Caprio has passed away at the age of 88.

Judge Caprio was loved by all. Our condolences go out to the Caprio family and the entire state of Rhode Island. We’ve lost one of the good ones.
