The holidays can bring a lot of pressure around food, bodies, and “getting back on track.”

As New Year messages shift toward diets and exercise, remember: your worth isn’t defined by a number on a scale. 🤍

Our guide offers compassionate tips for noticing diet culture’s influence and staying grounded in what truly matters—your physical AND emotional wellbeing.

Read more on the blog!

Diet culture can be particularly challenging during the holidays. Our new blog post features insights from Dr. Miriam Khiari, PsyD, on keeping your peace during this season.

🌿 Mindful Transition Into the New Year

As the year comes to a close, it can be tempting to jump straight into resolutions and expectations. Instead, this season can be a time to pause — to notice what this past year has taught you, what supported your growth, and what you’re ready to gently release.

Mindfulness invites us to transition with intention rather than urgency.

Ask yourself:

💫 What did I learn about myself this year?

💫 What am I grateful to be leaving behind?

💫 What feels worth carrying forward?

There is no deadline for change, no pressure to reinvent yourself overnight.
You are allowed to enter the new year slowly — grounded, reflective, and compassionate toward the version of you that made it through this year.

🌟Featured Blog: Faith-Based Therapy & Mental Health 🌟

Faith-based or spiritually informed therapy creates space for you to explore your beliefs, values, and sense of purpose alongside emotional and psychological work. Research shows that when spirituality and mental health are honored together, it can strengthen the therapeutic relationship and support deeper healing.

Whether you draw strength from prayer, reflection, community, or a personal sense of meaning, faith-based therapy can help you:
✨ feel more deeply understood and seen in your whole experience
✨ connect spiritual practices with clinical insight
✨ navigate religious trauma, doubts, or questions with compassion
✨ find renewed hope, purpose, and resilience

Have you ever wished your therapist would delve into your religious or spiritual tradition? In our new blog post, we’ll give you the rundown on faith-based therapy and discuss its benefits.

Family gatherings can stir up old roles, expectations, and emotions—sometimes before we even realize it.

Mindfulness during these moments doesn’t mean staying calm at all costs. It means noticing what’s happening inside and responding with care.

Taking a pause, stepping outside, or finding a quiet moment can help you return to yourself when things feel activating.

You’re allowed to protect your peace—even in the middle of togetherness. 🤍

Trauma doesn’t just live in our thoughts — it lives in the body.
In The Body Keeps the Score, Bessel van der Kolk explores how trauma shapes the nervous system, emotions, and physical experience, and how healing often requires more than talk alone.

This foundational book helps readers understand why certain reactions persist — and how body-based approaches, mindfulness, and connection can support recovery and resilience.

A meaningful read for anyone interested in trauma-informed care and mind–body healing. 🌿

Our hearts are heavy following the recent shooting at Brown University.

While violence can feel tragically familiar, it lands differently when it affects a community we serve and care for deeply. Many of our clients are Brown students, and we hold them—along with all those impacted—in our thoughts during this profoundly unsettling time.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the families and loved ones of the two individuals who lost their lives.

If this has brought up fear, grief, or a sense of unease, please know your reactions are valid. Support is available, and you don’t have to hold this alone.

✨ Ocean State Business Expo ✨

Our team had the opportunity to attend the Ocean State Business Expo, and we’re feeling grateful for the connections we made.

Sarit and Miriam had a wonderful time sharing more about Dyad Psychology, meeting other local professionals, and connecting with community members who are passionate about supporting mental health and wellness in Rhode Island.

We walked away inspired, energized, and excited for future collaborations. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and welcomed us so warmly! 💛
