But behind that, there’s a lot she’s carrying that most people don’t see. The mental load, always thinking ahead, always being needed, and always leading the way.

A lot of the time, she moves through it all without really slowing down.

As a holistic esthetician, I’ve always believed in treating the skin as part of the whole body.
But recently, that belief has deepened in a much more personal way.

Even when you’re exhausted, your mind keeps going.

You can’t force yourself to sleep.

I’ve been there, and honestly, it almost makes it worse.

The more you try to shut your mind off, the more aware you become of how awake you feel.

And it’s frustrating… because you’re tired.

But I’ve learned rest happens when your body is supported into it.

When your nervous system is still in a heightened, stimulated state, it doesn’t matter how tired you are, your body isn’t ready to let go.

That’s why things like warmth, quiet, and intentional touch can make such a difference.
