Join the community on December 6 for the magical City Hall tree lighting event. Enjoy caroling, a holiday parade, and festive performances under the snow-dusted lights.

November is American Diabetes Month, the perfect time to raise awareness about diabetes and share steps we can all take to support healthy living. 🩺🍂
Did you know that nearly 1 in 3 adults aged 65 and older has diabetes? It's a leading cause of heart disease, vision loss, and nerve damage. While there's no cure yet, research shows there are ways to help manage and reduce the risk of diabetes:

-Stay physically active: Regular exercise improves insulin sensitivity and helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels.

-Eat a balanced diet: A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins supports overall health and helps manage blood glucose levels.

-Monitor blood sugar levels: Regular monitoring can help detect early signs of high or low blood sugar and guide treatment decisions.

-Take prescribed medications: Following your healthcare provider's recommendations for medication can help manage blood sugar levels effectively.

-Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps maintain proper kidney function and can assist in managing blood sugar levels.
