Leyanne Oliveira is a Spiritual Guide and Wellness coach for women driven by her mission to elevate the collective vibration of humanity.

We are no longer in the times where we could blindly trust a system.

The planet is asking for us to listen and take action.

I’m not shaming the medical system and those who provide in those systems because WE NEED THEM. And it’s also true that we have lost trust in them.It’s true that we have realized that just giving us pills isn’t working.

The earth wants us to return to Natures Medicine. It’s simple, free and abundant.

When was the last time that you received touch?

I told y’all why I decided to no longer celebrate Christmas.

Now here is an alternative celebration that FED MY ENTIRE SOUL 🖤♥️💚🪘

Because the truth is, we can’t just take things away from our kids without replacing it with something else. From celebrating it just me and my son last year to bringing community together this year with my sisSTARS 💫✨

Big love to my sisters who held the space with me and the brothers who joined. The children who brought life and the elders who brought wisdom.

Kwanzaa feels a lot more intentional and aligned with my parenting and who I am.

The pride.

The prayers.
The ancestors.

I don’t celebrate Christmas.
 Not out of bitterness or being “anti-joy”— but out of presence and power.

I remember that my ancestors were forced to abandon their cosmologies and spiritual practices during such potent times.
 I remember how capitalism dressed itself up as generosity.
 I remember that the earth is not celebrating but she is resting, pulling energy inward for the womb of winter.

This isn’t about judging those who celebrate either because I honor CHOICE.
 However, It’s about choosing alignment over tradition. Consent over conditioning. Truth over performance.
I honor the turning of the sun. I honor rest. I honor the ancestors who survived systems that tried to erase their spirit.

Liberation doesn’t always look like rebellion. Sometimes it looks like opting out —lovingly, intentionally, powerfully.

What would the HOLYdays feel like if they were rooted in truth instead of obligation?

Upon hearing the song “Ta Due” by .koenig I was instantly touched. I played the song over and over and over again feeling the words ring so deep in me. The song speaks a truth of my people — a nation plagued by immigration. A country where most of its people live outside of their homelands— surviving while deeply missing home. Often times suffering in silence in foreign countries so different from ours. Countries lacking the vibrancy, warmth, connection and morabeza that oozes through our culture.

The song felt affirming, healing and I wanted to experience more of it. I wanted to feel the words in my body so I started to dance to it. It started as a healing medicine for me in my bedroom and then I decided to come together with to expand it and then record it with Alberto’s permission and blessing.

We completed this in a just a week. This isn’t a performance as much as it’s art - a soul expression of pain, grief, and hope. This song deserves to be amplified for the power of healing it holds. For it to be heard by every Kriolo who lives with this wound deep inside.

This is an ancestral veneration — this is a reminder to the new generation that we can create change where home doesn’t just have to exist only in our hearts while we are thousands of miles away from it. This is a reminder to us that we can do better and create better for the generations that are to come. The grief itself is a reminder that leaving home should not be normal and cannot be normalized.
